This is one of my top 5 fav movies of the decade,it still holds up and it wants me to play the path of neo matrix game it’s so much fun,and it made so many parodies including scary movie and chappelle’s show,cartoons and inspired anime,video games,movies,cyberpunk and influences,this movie made me smart of when I watched this when I was young and it blew my mind,I saw this movie so many times and being relevant to A.I after rewatching it and I like 2nd one alot with more action set pieces,the highway,the agent smith clone fight and Morpheus being a bad ass,3 is ok and boring alot of expostion and not much matrix exploring and a sad ending,4 is better than 3,it’s self aware,fun and a better ending,I love Keanu Reeves till this day from this to John Wick,Bill and ted,Point Break,Speed,Constantine,Spongebob movie 3,Toy Story 4,Johnny mnemonic and the Keanu cat movie,I’m glad Will Smith turned down this role and did Wild Wild West,probably for the best,cuz that movie is terrible and he knew it and his wife is in the matrix sequels,Carrie ann moss is in some Netflix marvel shows of where she’s a lesbian to another lady,The wachoskis know how to make action movies including my fav underated movie Speed Racer,they also made Cloud atlas which was ok and feels like you’re watching multiple movies that keeps your attention,and they made a terrible funny movie called Jupiter ascending,and that last Parody of the matrix was Space Jam 2 which is hilarious,it’s a good funny fortnite movie and IMO better than the first one,since MJ can’t act or be invested,Lebron was better,When the Matrix movie came out,every hollywood media and commercial tried to do the lean back lol,man this movie is a classic and has great quotes that became memes,and this movie is like a video game.

I think my biggest problem with the sequels (especially 2) is that they try so hard to be philosophical that it becomes pretentious.

Morpheus squatting over Neo in the Kung Fu sequence xD Also, Wanted is such a dubbable cheesy movie if you guys are up to it. James McAvoy really hams it up.

I had no idea this movie was all shot in Sydney! It looks very obvious once you know. I only looked it up because one of the people that knocked on Neo's door telling him to touch grass was an actress who's basically only been in the same Australian soap opera for the past 30 years. And I was like, there's no way she took time out of that schedule and went to Hollywood for a 30 second bit. Imagine the alternate reality with SL Jackson Morpheus and Will Smith Neo! Obviously Will became a much more nuanced dramatic actor, but at that time he was still only known as the cocky and charismatic Men in Black/Independence Day/Bad Boys type guy. Very different vibe to Reeve's Neo. I think SLJ could have given a similar performance to Fishburne, but he was already 50 by that time so his stunts would have been worse.

Such a timeless, ruthlessly badass work of art. Goosebumps every goddamn time. Rage Against The Machine is such an appropriate way to end it. Lewie talking about the dude with the Taystee Wheat milk moustache killed me. 🤣 As always, great commentary dudes!

I agree with justin that this would've probably been better without sequels. The ending makes you want more so badly, but the follow through is so much better in your imagination than what they actually made. Action is still pretty cool in the 2nd one though and you guys should do commentaries of the rest.

Pops if you ever read this your slowmo YEOUUCH when the famous slow mo shot out at the end happens made me laugh so hard I accidently hit pause on the movie, I couldn't sync it back up so I restarted the whole movie and commentary. This was a great one!
