Ricky and Laurie get to know each other! Laurie is a bit overwhelmed, but he's having a good time... and it's about to get better. I tried to convey some of Laurie's feeling by overlapping panels to make things bleed into each other a bit. It's always SO fun to draw two people interacting, the weight and heft of everything is peak character acting. You can certainly overload a single visual, but I just love putting all kinds of details for the attentive reader; in the 3d panel, the eye goes down from Ricky's face across to Laurie, the hands on his shoulders, the hands at his waist. As a comic artists you aren't limited to conveying one thing per panel!
