Here is the first draft of an idea I've had for a bit now. I'd like to make a trailer for Roses for Avalon, just for fun. If I'm satisfied with the final version of this animatic, then I'd eventually take this into 3D!I think the animatic probably needs another couple passes to flesh out the motion in each shot, but at least it has a beginning and ending arc that should come across. I'm curious how it appears to you!

Right now the story is displayed chronologically. I might do another cut that matches the emotional intensity of various points in the story to the music, but I'm still feeling it out

Anyway, feedback welcome! You'll want the sound on for this one

I really like this! You're stories always fascinate me and Roses for Avalon is definitely one of your most ambitious. Very well done, and I am looking forward to seeing how you further develop the story.

Felt like I was watching something like Green Knight, amazing. Very much looking forward to more of RFA.

Very cinematic! 😍 I recognize the "Lord of the Dance" theme at the end - what is the orchestral music for the bulk of the movie? Feels inspired by Also Sprach Zarathustra (obvs) and Peer Gynt "Morning".

I just fucking love this. The parts of the story I know for sure and the parts you've only hinted at that I've been thinking about for ages. The full arc of things (and my theory about Roshim's horns definitely getting confirmed, haha) is really fantastic to see, though it does feel like Roshim is actually the one writing the final chapter of the book of this world, and when he's done, the whole place will be gone forever. Really big fan of the aesthetic and the flow from scene to scene, both in color and shape. The sun and moon imagery is great, the implications about Avalon's place in the world's cosmology, and the overall design of the arc. Interested to see all of this expanded further with time, even if it's only in script form. Huge fan, but you knew I would be. Hahaha.

This looks amazing, I got hooked after you started reposting the comic pages on your bluesky page and loved the series
