This poll is for next month's exclusives. This time, we're going to do things a bit differently. Because it's a "spooky month", I wanted to try something a bit bolder than before. Next month, for October, the "theme" will be: Welcome To Whispers Creek.

Starting this week, and through this month, there will be a new poll every week. Each one will help shape what will be a bit of a supernatural story shared within a small town. Either from the denizens who live there or from a secret foundation hiding just within.

Naturally, I had to make an assortment of designs to pick from for this upcoming project of ours as well lay the worldbuilding groundwork to let the mind wander. So, if you cook anything up, by all means, lemme know!

The Setting

As stated above, Whispers Creek is a small town supernatural setting. It's meant to be predominately grounded in reality within the early 2010's. Think Stranger Things but a bit more modern day.

Whispers Creek

The small town of Whispers Creek is somewhere in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Nestled into the dense forests, where the fog dances between the trunks of the trees, and where society is just a bit further out than you'd expect. This place gets its fame from the Whispers Creek, a stream so still in its ripples that it comes off as a whisper, as well as a rather substantial logging industry.

Most people who live here, like it here, and those who wish to leave take a while to find a good way out. The town itself may not be supernatural, but whatever lurks in the dark certainly could be.

The Quo Society

The Quo Society are a secret foundation that focuses its efforts on keeping the normalcy of the world contained. Funded by world governments for research and containment of the supernatural, their jobs are to go out there and either neutralize the threat or use it for the greater good. It's not a job for the faint of heart.

The Characters

Naturally with this project, we have characters to explore. Below is a rough concept design for each of the ones you can vote for - well, with one exception that comes in a pair - feel free to vote for the designs you like the most or whichever strike your fancy character wise.

(from left to right)

Sheriff Jennifer Pots: Jennifer, Jenny to some, is the local deputy of the town. She's been in this position for over a year now, and while she's strict and overworked, she doesn't take anything lying down. Even if the report is bogus and makes no sense to her. She doesn't believe in the supernatural, outside of ghosts, but even that's a stretch for her.

Nora Clarke: One of the few folks who left town, she found herself pursuing a job in the big cities and ended up lucking out as an executive. While she's strictly unable to speak of her work, she was sent back to town and not to visit family - despite what she says. In fact, whatever she's looking for, she might know more than she lets on about it.

Weapon-μ: An entity found by the Quo Society that they've been able to safely weaponize. It's hard to say where she- it came from, but they can be rest assured that they'll figure out exactly how it got there. Found deep in Alaska, she was brought into containment, which the society quickly learned its vulnerabilities and exploited them. Now, its locked away and under the observation of its head researcher (and bestest friend).

Dr. Marshall Franklin: Dr. Franklin is the head researcher and overseer of μ. Once from Alaska, he was there to witness the uncontested power of μ though was remarkably both saved and had it docile enough to be moved. This has lead him to being rather closed off and apathetic, but with μ that care still lingers.

Caroline Matthews: Caroline, or Carol for short, is someone who fell in love with the many urban legends surrounding the sleepy small town. While nobody takes her seriously, she is on a mission to prove that her fascination with the unknown is justified. Whatever it takes! She's someone who prefers the older tech, like a polaroid or a handheld camcorder, just to physically be able to prove that her findings are legit.

Agent Birch: Not much is known about Birch beyond his role as a man working for the Quo Society. His role is to be a field agent, keep normalcy alive, and to make sure that pumpkin spice is always available to drink (for himself predominately). He's a man of actions more than words.

Three options will be selected, each one given a full narrative story that will be the centerpiece of each weeks poll. As stated before, this is an "open" collaboration, so feel free to add your own ideas~!
