A woman living in a mountain village with year-round heavy rainfall discovered a mysterious swamp.

It was a black swamp with a distinctive odor.

At first, she was uneasy, but curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to take a small amount of the swamp's liquid home.

However, by the time she got home, the liquid had dried and was stuck to the container.

When she tried to wash it off with water, it repelled the water!

She immediately had an idea.

"If I paint this on my roof, it might prevent leaks!"

The very next day, she pulled a cart, collected the liquid from the black swamp, and painted the roof of her house with it.

The black liquid was difficult to wash off her body, but she didn't mind.

And after successfully painting the entire roof, it repelled the rain.

The whole village was astonished. Then one of the villagers suggested,

"If we sell this to the kingdom, our village will become wealthy!"

She immediately went to the kingdom to sell it. The result was great success.

They commissioned the coating of the kingdom's castle, castle town, and all the houses with that black liquid.

The villagers thought they would gain a new industry and become wealthy...

One night, unstable weather, so severe that lightning struck, gripped the kingdom.

The kingdom's castles and towns were sturdy due to the frequent occurrence of such weather in the region. However… a single lightning strike set a portion of the kingdom ablaze. The people of the kingdom thought the rain would extinguish the flames. But instead of dying down, the fire intensified, turning the entire kingdom into a sea of ​​fire.

Screams echoed throughout the land. The next day, the kingdom was completely burned…

The surviving king led his soldiers to a certain “village.”

They went to the house of a “woman” and took her there.

They bound her hands and feet and tied her to a tree. The woman was bewildered. The king declared:

“This woman is a witch! Because of the evil she has caused, my kingdom has been engulfed in flames!”

She was led to a black swamp.

And she was thrown into the swamp. Bound and unable to move, she sank into the water.

Then her torch was thrown. Her body, drenched in the black liquid, burst into flames in an instant along with the swamp.

"Look! This woman is a witch after all! A normal human wouldn't burn up in an instant! Burn her with the flames of purification!"

The other villagers threw torches at her. Otherwise, all the villagers would be executed.

The black liquid seeped into her burning, festering skin. As she writhed in pain, she sank into the swamp. Unable to breathe, she cursed the world even as she burned.

"I wanted to be useful. I wanted to make the village prosperous.

But people, the world, betrayed me so easily..."

The dungeon [Witch of TarPits] is the manifestation of her vengeful spirit.

Is it to make challengers experience the same suffering she endured?

Or does she want pity for her suffering?
