Upcoming Reward changes. (Patreon)
Content
With my moving out, I've had to increase my commission prices to something more sustainable.Current reward tiers do not reflect this change.I will be updating reward tiers during July but changes will not apply until August at the earliest.I'll make a post here with information of all of the changes. Examples would be:Changes to sticker rewards:Stickers were changed to $15 each instead of $10 about 2-3 months ago to fit with other artist's rates as to not undercut, and because of how I draw stickers they take anywhere from 1-3 hours. My minimum rate is at least $15 per hr to coincide with minimum wage rates in my area.Reward tiers descriptions still reflect a roughly $10 per sticker rate.I may make sticker specific tiers and art specific tiers that are the same value.Ex: $15 Sticker Only reward, and a $15 art tier: sketch or simple chibi reward etc.Reward tiers may increase in price, specifically the lower ones.Ex: The $3 tier may become $5Commission rates may increaseI will be counting a bit more time spent at my workstation in the price of commissions.I use a price timer (cash clock) while I draw, and generally pause it any time I alt tab out of my drawing software to upload files to my drive or Trello to link to the customeror when communicating.I may leave this time on to include time spent communicating and sending files as it's still a part of the work.An employee is still paid even if they get up to use the bathroom while on their shift, and since this is my job i I will include more than just time spent only drawing a bit. I will not dilly dally to increase my pay though, that's scummy.
I will edit this post in a bit, the patreon app sucks and is lagging hardcore as I type this on mobile.
Heads-up that changes to tiers will be made and I will ask that everyone look at the updates and prepare to switch tiers or unpledge if necessary.I will miss you if you unpledge but I do not want you to keep a pledge out of guilt or if it's not financially in your budget or stuff. You know?NOOOO PRESSURE ever at all.Thank you all so much for supporting me so far as I figure out how Patreon and commissions can help my support myself as an artist doing what I enjoy and sharing it with others!
