The final chapter of Clipped Wings is finally here! I'll have an authors note at the end of this post, so don't read it until you've read this chapter. Or do, I can't stop you.

I have a similar feeling that I did when I finished UI, which was that I am jealous of people who write books, They're able to craft their entire story and rework things before posting any of it. So as their idea evolves they can go back and change things to better fit it. Or go back and pepper in more foreshadowing/build-up. Problem with webnovels, is that you don't exactly have that luxury.

Now I could've written out like 20k words of this story, and realized how to make things work better, but I didn't. So I was left with the idea of what was going to happen, but not the actual writing out of said idea. Which is a pretty big difference! However it's not like I can go back and change stuff, especially for a story I don't want to draw out.

I'm not trying to complain, it's on me for not putting in the extra work. It's the reason why the ending is the way it is though. Initially my idea was for Lucy and Ariel to have some action together. But as I was writing it, it felt really wrong for the moment. There would need to be a buffer for it feel right. Which would mean another chapter, which isn't something I want to do. I like the story, but I've got other projects to work on.

I'm super tired so I'm rambling now. I'll stop the author's note here. Feel free to ask me anything in the comments. I'll probably do some of the one-shots then work on Forgotten for a Reason. I want to try and use what I learned here to make that even better.

A real one always pulls through when you need it most. Wasn't expecting it in such a glorious way though. I was leaning towards the possibility that maybe some of the earlier scenes with Saya were not all just Mira and that some of the more affectionate or friendly interactions from her were signs of her not being a complete piece of shit and she would some how bring Lucy back. I had faith in Lucy just not enough I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ anyway, Enjoyed this one and looking forward to getting to read what the fox get's up to soon. >:)

LUCY THE GOAT I AM SORRY FOR DOUBTING Really nice conclusion, felt a bit up and down reading this but the ending made it worth it. Also I can totally see Lucy becoming Ariels new robot mistress, wouldn't want her little pilot to go astray again. (º﹃º)

This is still great, but I do want to ask, are you planning on making a sequel, or is it fully over? 'Cause either way, great story; can't wait for what's next you do!
