David de Lara sent me this image from mine and Justine Marie's shoot with him in Austin. Kinda fun, no?This week I spent at a modelographer retreat in Las Vegas which was... interesting. A lot of different personalities and looks there... It was attended by Lillias Right, Shauntia Romnie, Carlotta Champagne, Astrid Winters, Rhodathe Online, Kay Jay, Carolyn Jean, Pure Rebel Kristy, Dane Halo, and Mida-Mae. I shot and was shot by everyone but Kristy and Mida. I think I got some cool shots because we were in a really weird/silly air b'n'b so it provided a great setting BUT the time with each person was slim and super micromanaged. I'm kinda nervous to upload the images, like I'll find them all out-of-focus and unusable and I'll disappoint everyone. As the least established model/photographer there, I have a big chip on the shoulder about the whole thing. My one paid shoot in Las Vegas cancelled last minute and that's made me a little stressed financially but I'm trying to stay positive and putting a lot of time into booking emails.Copper is doing ok with the traveling. I think she likes all the adventures but she also gives me the impression she's ready to go home; she's always overexcited to get in the car. Maybe I'm just projecting. The first night in Vegas, I got drunk off a giant frosty rum drink and won Justine a bunch of money at blackjack (I was playing with her $20). We left early because she wasn't feeling well and I ended up laying on the hard wood floor drunk texting Kolton a bunch of nonsense because this Kavanaugh has been keeping that whole issue in the forefront of my brain. He didn't respond and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I miss him and he would have loved this trip, but he's a predatory piece of shit human and I need to remember that above all.Did I mention this Kavanaugh news cycle is really hard on me? I don't like being reminded of my own history with sexual abuse and I especially don't like seeing people that didn't support me jump on the "I support victims" mene bandwagon. It's just all very emotionally exhausting. We're now on our way to Salt Lake City and tomorrow I might just hunker down in a Starbucks and edit all day because I have SO MUCH CONTENT.
