BOOM!

Here's the first set I've completed editing from the modelographer retreat I went to in Las Vegas at the beginning of this month. I'm pretty stoked on it.

The model is modelographer babe Carolyn Jean from Seattle and this was shot in the "70s Room" at the Air B'n'B the group rented - it was my favorite room.

I was super nervous to go to this as I still consider myself very much a photography amateur and all the other attendees have much bigger followings. I pretty much waited to the last minute to get there and chugged energy drinks the entire time to keep myself in prime extrovert condition. It also didn't help I wasn't feeling very psyched on my appearance either and I was expected to model half the time... aging and low self-esteem suck.

Anyway, the whole experience was exhausting but it was nice to have the opportunity to meet and get to know more of my peers. I also think working under such strict/narrow requirements definitely made me a stronger photographer. I also feel good about the general impression I made on my peers and hopefully the connections I made last as many of them live in the Pacific Northwest.
