Version 0.4.0 — Madness Grows, the City Breathes (Patreon)

Hello, wanderers! We’re thrilled to bring you one of the biggest updates yet — Version 0.4.0. This patch adds tons of new events, atmospheric details, and art, deepening the strange and unsettling world of the game.

New Events & Street Dangers

Flock of crows attack event — While jogging in the park or exploring the Eastern and Slum districts, you may now be attacked by a flock of crows during the day or evening, if the right conditions are met.

Ominous signs in the sky and sea — As you move between major locations with high Mindcurse and Madness, you may witness disturbing celestial or oceanic omens.

Random disorientation events — Sometimes, you’ll simply lose your way for no obvious reason… a subtle nod to the creeping madness within.

City Updates & Hidden Secrets

Bank overhaul & mysterious ATMs — The bank has been redesigned, and scattered ATMs now hide a secret for you to uncover.

TV watching in apartments — Your character can now watch TV at home. There are five channels, and what’s available depends on the time of day and your character’s traits. Watching certain channels can even influence your stats based on how long you watch!

Six new dream events — Most require around 20 Madness to trigger. These dreams are designed to slow the decline of Madness and Corruption when those stats are high.

New hypnosis events — Occur when searching the Southern and Eastern districts (with Ratmen) or in the Slums (with a human). The event type depends on your reputation, Mindcurse, and Beauty levels.

Prologue skip update — Skipping the prologue now takes you straight to character creation, then to the flophouse.

End Game transition — After reaching the final passage of the END GAME scene, the player will now be returned to the main menu after a short 4-second delay.

New Characters & Street Life

Horned blue-haired prostitute — A new variant has been added to the brothel.

Random fight witness events — While searching the Northern, Eastern, or Slum districts, you might stumble upon fights between humans and beastmen — by day or night. You might even find a wallet and earn some money there.

Free tonic table events — While exploring the Western and Eastern districts or working in the park, you may come across a free tonic stand where you can donate.
