Wakasha looked them over. For Precise Strike, he hesitated a little between Ruin and Fate.

In the end, though, he chose Ruin. Its effect was simple, but it was pure numerical power.

Ignoring 20% of armor made it the harshest possible father to many defensive enemies in the future.

Even though it was only a normal-quality effect, its practical use was stronger than Fate’s.

As for Mana Surge, Wakasha picked Mental Fortitude right away. A rare hidden stat boost was never a bad choice.

As for the other ultra-rare option, Immovable as a Mountain... having to stand still for 10 seconds before getting the effect made it, like Fate, a little too situational.

After that, Wakasha poured another 700 EXP into Precise Strike, raising it to level five.

[Precise Strike LV MAX (0/500): Consumes mental power to mark a designated target. The next attack against that target gains +180% hit rate and +30% critical rate. Cooldown: 1 second]

This time, two of the three options were the same as the other two effects from level three.

The remaining one was an ultra-rare effect called Skullcrusher: attacks that hit a target’s head would always crit, and critical damage would increase by 100%.

The effect was brutally powerful. The downside was that it wouldn’t work on monsters without heads.

Still, that wasn’t a big problem. Headless monsters were the minority.

Wakasha chose Skullcrusher.

Once he had gone through all his gains, Wakasha moved his body a little, getting used to his new strength.

Then he headed back to the marsh to kill another 30 slimes.

The reason was obvious: while condensing his class, he had eaten all the slime gel he had extracted earlier.

With 9 Perception and the hidden boost from the class passive Demon Hunter, he could clearly catch everything happening within a hundred-meter radius—the faint rustle of ants crawling beneath the soil, the buzzing wings of insects by distant puddles, even the tiny vibrations made by slimes wriggling across the ground dozens of meters away.

Very quickly, he locked onto a target.

At the edge of a puddle deep in the marsh, a large group of slimes had gathered—more than the batch he’d killed earlier. A rough count put them at over sixty. Among them were ordinary green slimes, pale blue slimes, several larger giant slimes, and even one mutated slime with a pale purple body and a faint magical aura.

“Not bad. Plenty of them, and there’s even a mutated one. Perfect for testing the power of the twin guns.”

A gleam flashed through Wakasha’s eyes. He slowly drew both guns, one in each hand, and moved lightly toward the puddle’s edge.

He deliberately suppressed his own magical and mental fluctuations, then summoned two Mage Servants and ordered them to hide themselves and circle around to both sides of the slime group, ready to intercept any that tried to flee.

Now that the Mage Servants possessed human-level intelligence, they carried out his instructions without the slightest hesitation. Like two invisible shadows, they silently moved into position and lay in wait.

Their form was that of a pair of arms wearing butler’s gloves, each with a strength of 96 kilograms—more than enough to pin down ordinary slimes, and enough to temporarily restrain even giant slimes.

Wakasha slowly stopped about twenty meters from the slime group, using a thick tree trunk as cover.

He took a deep breath, letting his mental power flow steadily, and at the same time summoned Solar Sphere to hover above his shoulder. The golden-red orb instantly expanded to the size of a fist, blazing heat rushing outward. Even the surrounding air began to warp slightly, and the low moss nearby quickly withered under the heat.

Even the slimes in the distance reacted, growing restless.

“Let’s begin.”

Wakasha murmured softly. Holding a gun in each hand, he aimed at the largest giant slime in the group.

He didn’t activate Precise Strike right away. First, he wanted to test the raw power and firing speed of the twin guns.

His fingers tightened slightly on the triggers.

Bang! Bang!

Two crisp gunshots rang out almost at the same time. Two bullets condensed from mental power, traced with pale blue magical patterns, shot out like twin meteors toward the giant slime.

The bullets struck its core perfectly. There was no violent explosion, but they instantly pierced through its thick gelatinous body, drawing out two streams of clear fluid.

The giant slime’s body contracted violently a few times, and within three seconds it lost all vitality, collapsing into a puddle of transparent liquid that merged into the water.

“The twin guns really do feel good.”

Wakasha thought with satisfaction, not stopping for a moment. Both hands kept pulling the triggers, the guns firing alternately as bullet after bullet flew out like a rapid volley, each one striking a slime’s core with perfect accuracy.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The gunfire echoed across the quiet marsh in a steady rhythm.

Wakasha’s hands were as steady as stone. Even while firing continuously, the muzzles didn’t waver in the slightest.

With 9 Perception, he could clearly trace the movement of every single slime. Even the faster ones had no chance of dodging these fatal shots.

Solar Sphere floated above his shoulder, its golden-red light constantly sweeping over the slime swarm. The intense heat instantly scorched any slime that got too close, slowing their movements even more.

The Embers effect continued to work as well. Every time a slime died, a faint thread of energy flowed back into Wakasha’s body, slowly increasing his mental power and mana cap while also nourishing his body.

The two Mage Servants hidden at the flanks also moved at just the right moments.

Whenever a slime tried to escape, they would appear instantly, seize it with their powerful arms, and slam it to the ground, pinning it in place—or directly throw it back into Wakasha’s firing range, buying him even more time to shoot.

The Mage Servants moved with precision and speed, without the slightest wasted motion, perfectly coordinating with Wakasha’s offense.
