yesss i’ve been waiting for this bunch!! fun fact the zombies in episode 1 of this season are all the lumberfolk - their graves were swept away in the mudslides so their bodies ended up in the middle of the woods where dipper raised the dead

there are so many hints to ford throughout the series prior to his reveal that make it super fun to rewatch once you know what’s coming! off the top of my head here are a few: in the s1 time travel episode, ford is the one who opens the door to the shack when dipper & mabel travel back in time, in s1e16 the glasses stan grabs in the “secret room in the shack” are ford’s that fell off when he got sucked into the portal, in s1e19 there’s a broken swing set in stan’s mind & ford can actually be seen when stan is talking about taking boxing lessons as a child - he’s in the background reading a book when the show was originally airing, people in the fandom had theorized that stan had a twin who was the author of the journals so the creator of the show, alex hirsch, actually faked a leak of young mcgucket writing in the journals to throw people off lol

im sure someones commented this but alex hirsch, the creator of this show, voice acts sooooo many characters, mainly one offs. But he does Grunkle Stan(ly), Soos, Bill, quentin trembly, grenda, mcgucket, a few sevral timez memebers, schembulock, the main gnome guy, and a lot more people im forgetting lol

oh also, at the end of every episode in season one in the creds, theres a random collection letters. These are ciphers that sometimes are funny, but also clues to the bigger story of the show. In episode one, it says "Stan is not what he seems." SO frickin cool, especially given it was the first time we saw him enter the basement.
