Dear readers and patrons,

I am in dire need of a feedback and I turn to you.

I’d like to know which elements of Alexa’s story you find compelling.

At the start of Act 2, I’ve focused more on world-building—introducing new factions and expanding Ideworld’s imagery. Then came Jason’s retrieval mini-arc, which is slowly reaching its conclusion and included more fighting and exploration of Ideworld.

After that, there will be an arc with a bit of detective work, more discoveries about factions, and Alexa setting goals and priorities for herself. Following that, there will be another fight-focused arc.

What I’m not sure about is what exactly my readers enjoy most about the story.

Could you help me by sharing your thoughts? Is the world-building enough to keep you hooked? Are the character relationships engaging? Do the mysteries and faction turmoil capture your interest? Are the fight scenes the most compelling element—or the least?

Any comment would be greatly appreciated!

I find the questions to readers the most compelling!

Ellake

For me it's the Progression, Worldbuilding and the character relationships.

Lex's commentary on art, imagery, concepts and interpretation made this story stand out to me. I came via Runic Artist which also has and artist mc, but concentrates mostly on concept. (Hey Ellake :) Having just binged book 1, I found I missed the university course content, bit characters, lecturers and her ideation on campus as we built to the finale. It isn't an area the typical geek has any background in, making it interesting and googlable.

Thank you. I’m actively working on giving Alexa some time to return to school and painting. Her life has been a little hectic lately, but it’s good to know that this part of the story is something people find fun.

Thank you, Ellake. The progression is finally on its way.

At least for me, education is a the key component in character progression and development. Be it Mentor, Villain, Wandering cultivator or Academy something is needed to expand their knowledge or force the mc to review what they already know. It's also important for this reader too. Without the reference to Basquiat I couldn't even think of text in art outside of graffiti and marketing.

For me it's a combination of the artistry which I find very unique as well as her stealth, personas and improv. I feel like the latter has dropped off in recent chapters as she's begun to fight more openly and with others though. One scene that really stood out to me early on was when she misled the receptionist into thinking she wanted to warn a married woman of her cheater husband (can't remember the woman's name) then came back with a different identity but followed on from the previous lie. It was a really well done and believable piece and made her charisma and intelligence stand out to me unlike most novels that just make something up and reiterate how smart the MC is so it worked. I love the art descriptions as well; how it's a real part of her personality and not just a convenient backstory to explain her powers - the descriptions are interesting too, not just some generic fluff text; I actually enjoy reading about the art and various concepts. And I'm really excited to see how her new attempts with symbolism turn out!
