However, Charlotte Acker, Jeffrey's daughter, sees this as an opportunity to step up. She passionately believes in sustainability and environmental issues, having been involved in numerous initiatives outside the family business. Her ambition is met with skepticism from some board members who doubt her experience, she knew she needed someone on the board to advocate for her. Her father Jeffrey, who has no role currently in the company outside of a board member and an 8.3 share holder.

As Nancy’s investigations into Roy continue, she uncovers an unexpected ally in Sharon Whitmore, who suggests they team up to push for more equitable leadership opportunities within the company.

The tension escalates during a board meeting where Judith pushes for Roy's appointment to the Head of Corporate Sustainability role, arguing it aligns with the company’s future. In a shocking turn of events, Sharon Whitmore proposes that Charlotte be appointed instead, citing her passion and fresh perspective.

The room erupts into chaos as family members argue over loyalty, gender roles, and the future direction of Acker Enterprises. Judith and John Acker III, feeling cornered, Judith retaliates by revealing information she has on Nancy that could endanger her position on the board, igniting a fierce rivalry that goes beyond business. Judith believes with Mairlyn and Nancy both on the board as a mother daughter duo is a risk. While Nancy and Mairlyn believe the sibling duo Judith and John are advancing their children into unqualified roles, they didn't deserve.

Nancy and Charlotte decide to investigate Roy's past together, hoping to uncover any dirt that could help shift the board's favor. What they discover is more than just personal missteps; it reveals a web of nepotism and favoritism that runs deeper than they imagined within the family.

Meanwhile, Harvey Acker finds himself pulled into the drama as he tries to maintain a neutral stance, but as tensions rise, he begins to see the potential for his own advancement. Ryan and Isadora has no clear idea who to vote for, Ryan most likely will vote for her first cousin Charlotte to get the role, while Isadora has close ties with Judith. Carole will vote anything opposite of whatever Sharon supports.

As this season approaches its climax, the tension within the board reaches a breaking point. A scandal involving Roy is leaked to the press, orchestrated by Nancy and Charlotte, resulting in an emergency board meeting to address the fallout. Judith is heated, this is her son, her legacy.

In a dramatic showdown, family loyalties are tested, alliances are formed, and betrayals are unveiled. Ultimately, the board must decide who will fill the Head of Corporate Sustainability role, but the decision could fracture the family bond forever. How will the votes go?

In the season finale, the board convenes one last time to make pivotal decisions about the future of Acker Enterprises. The fallout from the scandal creates a ripple effect, leading to unexpected changes in leadership and challenging the very foundation of the family legacy.

Nancy emerges as a stronger leader, having proved herself through her cunning strategies and alliances. However, the cost of her ambition weighs heavily on her relationships, particularly with her family. As the dust settles, the family must confront the consequences of their power plays, setting the stage for future conflicts and the next chapter in the Acker saga. Nancy knew she wouldn't get as many votes, which is why she pushed for Charlotte seeing that Nancy is the only female in a leadership role in the company even with having majority female members on the board.
