One of the most emotionally significant pieces within the Solaran Royal Collection has finally arrived.

Commissioned by Her Majesty Queen Althea as a deeply personal gift for her youngest son, Prince Leopold of West Solara, this ceremonial circlet was never intended to symbolize power over a kingdom… but rather a mother’s determination to ensure her son would always possess a legacy of his own.

Created using gemstones taken directly from the Solaran royal vaults including dismantled heirloom brooches, devotional pendants, antique rosaries, and forgotten court jewels once worn by generations of Solaran royals the circlet became a piece unlike any other within the monarchy. Its asymmetrical arrangement of emeralds, sapphires, garnets, pearls, spinels, and opals was intentionally designed to feel personal rather than politically perfect.

At the center rests a deep crimson stone beneath a pale blue ceremonial gem, symbolizing the balance between royal duty and emotional burden. Above it stands a jeweled cross representing divine protection over those born into royal life without the certainty of inheritance.

Though Prince Leopold would never become king, he became one of the most beloved royals of his generation, earning the nickname “The Gilded Prince” throughout West Solara. Paintings of Leopold wearing the circlet beneath cathedral candlelight eventually became some of the most iconic royal portraits in Solaran history.

Following Queen Althea’s passing, Leopold reportedly refused to modernize or alter the crown in any way, insisting every mismatched stone and imperfection remain untouched... believing the piece represented not rank, but proof that his mother never viewed him as lesser simply because destiny had chosen another brother for the throne. Story featured in the Solarian Series.
