2D Gumby (Patreon)

So, for those who don't know (and don't worry I've been working on a video about it) Fox has announced they're doing a 2D animated Gumby cartoon. Yup, 2D animation, no clay, no stop motion, 2D cartoon... which I don't like. Claymation/stop motion is kind of the whole point of the original Gumby.

Despite this, I felt it would be a fun exercise if I designed the Gumby characters in 2D, and this is what I came up with.

I think these came out pretty good for the most part, even drew a couple of wild takes for some of characters since they do this a lot in the 80s revival series.

Also put in my favorite scene from 60s Gumby in there, because I had to.

Face forward Prickle looks like Phineas from Phineas and Ferb...
