It's worth noting that this new art style I'm experimenting with might be more important than you guys realize.  Before I discovered this, I was suffering the worst burn out of my life, one that was so bad that I lost all enjoyment out of the thing I love most, drawing comics.  It was so bad I was almost to a point of giving up on drawing.  A thought I honestly had never thought of before, as I've always been determined to make my art my soul job in the future, it's all I've ever wanted since I was a kid, and I was in such a bad place I almost given up on that.

But suddenly the idea for this new style popped in my head and I loved it, suddenly I was drawing again and enjoying it.  All I want to do is draw in this style and it makes me so happy.  It's amazing.

But despite this, I've noticed not everyone is as infatuated with this new style as I, so I want do hear what everyone thinks.

Do you like the new more angular style?  Yay or Nay?

I'm going to give a more detailed thought on this, I wish there was a "both" option or similar. I do like it, but I feel like it doesn't fit with every single thing, and art starts to be "blocky" or "square". So I do like it, but not if it shows up all the time or if it's the majority. Just in moderation.

i prefer the original, for 3 main reasons: 1. you've been using for many years now, and i fail to see why you would just abandon it completely, and 2. was quite the influence and inspiration on my art too, and 3. rounder, cartoony styles appeal more to me. but i have a couple of questions to ask: are you THAT dissatisfied drawing in the style that you were using before? is it just easier for you to draw in that new style? honest answers here.

It wasn't that I was dissatisfied with my old art style as much as I got completely bored with it. My favorite thing about drawing is learning new ways to do stuff and to advance my style and abilities. With my old style I hit a brick wall and got stagnant. I felt like there was no where to go with it anymore, and I desperately needed a change of pace. The new style is NOT easier, if anything it takes longer for me to do it in the new style because I'm constantly having to adjust the lines and erase parts to get the sharp edges. I also really like the new style, I think it's striking, and it gives me a lot more freedom and confidence to to insane or striking poses. Everything about it is new and amazing to me and it's gotten me really hyped to draw again, more than a long time. But there's one thing to keep in mind, this new style is still evolving. I just started using it, so what it looks like now and what it might look like months from now could be completely different.

Whatever keeps you creating, is a-okay with me.
