I always enjoyed Jungle Hunt on my 2600. I was also aware of Pirate Pete, but this is actually the first time I've heard of Jungle King.

I remember seeing both Jungle King and Jungle Hunt in the arcades as a kid and being confused by the fact they were both the same game with different protags (I had no idea as of why as a kid). I didn't learn about Pirate Pete until emulation came along.

Fun fact: A reason some pirates wore eye patches was to aid in seeing the dark. The one eye would be more adjusted to the dark thanks to the eye patch, so if they had to do something like go below to a dark deck or somewhere eyes dark, they could just flip up the eye patch and be able to see better than the eye more adjusted to light.
