Starter Babychonks Lore

Ember 🔥

Field Note #C01: Specimen generates approximately three degrees of extra warmth and forty degrees of extra drama.

Meet Ember. Small body, big 'do not touch me' energy.

Chonk Index Entry #C01 (excerpt)

Specimen: Ember (Flame Variant)Class: BabychonkRarity: CommonTags: babychonk, starter, flame, fire, beginner-friendly, quick-print, commonHabitat: Mug shelves, sunny windowsills, dangerously close to candle collectionsTemperament: Fiery; alternates between cozy cuddle-buddy and full inferno tantrumQuirk: Heats up all snacks before eating, even the chilled onesMove: Ember Glow – raises ambient comfort levels while mysteriously lowering productivityCare Note: Do not leave near paper piles or filament scraps. Supervision strongly recommended during zoomies.

Ripple 💧

Field Note #C02: Specimen leaves a trail of condensation wherever it goes.

Meet Ripple. A portable puddle with commitment issues.

Chonk Index Entry #C02 (excerpt)

Specimen: Ripple (Droplet Variant)Class: BabychonkRarity: CommonTags: babychonk, starter, droplet, water, beginner-friendly, quick-print, commonHabitat: Near bathroom sinks, under perpetually leaking air conditionersTemperament: Shy; retreats into a little puddle when startledQuirk: Mysteriously disappears whenever someone has Big Feelings™Move: Splash Dash – Gets the zoomies and drenches any nearby ChonksCare Note: Keep all nearby surfaces damp. Specimen becomes clingy and drippy if environment is too dry.

Printing notes

Please note the 3MF file has the settings for my specific print set-up - please check the settings before printing as your printer might not be the same!

Recommended Settings:

Layer height: ~0.12 mm (tested up to .2mm)

Supports: Not required

Infill: 10–15% is plenty (Cross-Hatch or Gyroid)

Orientation: Pre-oriented, drop in and go

Material: PLA is best, PETG/others also fine

If recolouring the 3MF, do so via the Objects tab (selecting parts individually) and not using the Paint tool!

Pupils: Matte Charcoal (11101)

Need help?

If anything’s weird, shoot me a message and I'll see what I can do! I’ll update files if needed and note changes in the folder.

If you print any of my models, I’d love to see - post a pic and tag @goodchonk3d. Thanks for being here from the start. Stay tuned for more chonky lil guys! 🐉✨

Wiggly Stuff

Excited to give these guys a crack! What filament colours did you use for these?

Wiggly Stuff

Just wanted to say these printed really nicely and have a great 'clack' to them!

Joe

Is there a way to see the journal excerpts on the starter set chonks? I love that stuff! So clever

Mindy Decker

My boys are loving the idea of Chonks and their background stories. I am printing their stories onto trading cards. The excitement level is HIGH. Now, I only see the first 3 Chonks. It seems like you are doing more, and if that is the case, where would they be located? If you don't continue on that path - would it be cool for you if I did that on my own? This going to be FUN! Thanks!
