This is the official getting started guide for new Scouts. It covers downloads, memberships, licences, the ChonkDex, Discord, and where to find help if a specimen starts making direct eye contact.

What is GoodChonk?

I’m Jase, the designer behind GoodChonk.

GoodChonk is a growing archive of chonky 3D-printable creatures called Chonks: small shapeshifting dragons who see one cool thing and immediately make it their whole personality.

I design the models, and GoodChonk HQ documents the consequences.

Each month, I release new STL/3MF models for Scouts to print, collect, display, gift, sell, or simply become too emotionally attached to. All models are designed to be support-free, articulated, and super fun to print and play with.

What's a Chonk?

Chonks are small shapeshifting dragons who try to mimic whatever they love most. Animals. Lava. Mushrooms. Snacks. Plants. Weather. Ghosts. Machines. Monsters. Suspiciously specific vibes.

Every Chonk is documented by GoodChonk HQ with a ChonkDex entry, Field Notes, Collector Cards, and deeply unserious safety advice for Scouts who should absolutely know better by now.

Discovered Chonk types:

Chonks: the classic GoodChonk specimen - chonky little shapeshifters with big personalities (Lightning Chonk, Lava Chonk, Undead Chonk, etc)

Beastchonks: animal-dragon hybrids (Bull Beastchonk, Bat Beastchonk, etc)

Babychonks: smaller, simpler Chonks (Punk Babychonk, Imp Babychonk, etc.)

Pocketchonks: Tiny Chonks with attachment issues. Built for keychains, bags, and displays.

Fanchonks: Chonks who are definitely not obsessed with any specific unnamed fandom.

I also make Field Kits - habitats, accessories, snacks, and other HQ-issues equipment for Chonk care, containment, bribery, or morale.

There have been reported sightings of even more Chonk classes in the wild. HQ is pretending not to panic.

ChonkDex Terms

Here are the main terms you’ll see around GoodChonk HQ:

ChonkDex: HQ’s official archive of documented Chonk specimens.

Specimen: An individual documented Chonk.

Chonk Index Entry: A specimen’s official ChonkDex record, including class, rarity, habitat, temperament, quirks, moves, care notes, and warnings.

Field Note: A short HQ observation, usually recorded shortly before things got worse.

Edition: A Chonk’s first documented form.

Variant: A major reclassification of an existing Chonk, usually with significant design, theme, or lore changes.

Skin: A field condition or alternate state of an existing Chonk. Skins may include seasonal changes, emotional events, environmental effects, tiny accessories, altered details, or suspicious new behaviours.

Public Sighting: A free model or public release cleared for Junior (free) Scout access.

Classified Discovery: A paid-member bonus or surprise specimen.

Active Field Access: The current and previous month’s downloadable models for paid members.

Restricted Archive: Older models that are no longer part of active monthly downloads. These may be available individually through the Shop, with member discounts where applicable.

Licences

Chonk Collector (Hobbyist): personal prints only; no selling models or prints.

Chonk Merchant (Commercial): you may sell physical prints while your Commercial membership is active; don’t reshare/modify/resell the STLs.

FAQ

What do I get when I sign up? Elite Scouts get immediate access to the current month’s models, the previous month’s models, and the Welcome Pack. You can see all available models HERE.

Where do I download my files? Head to the Download Page. That’s where all links to current Active Field Access files are kept.

Do you sell your models individually? Yes. Older Restricted Archive models are available for individual purchase in the Shop tab of my Patreon. Elite Scouts also get a rotating monthly discount code for archived models, available on the Download Page.

What printer do you use? Bambu Lab P1S and H2C with AMS, textured PEI plate.
