The podcast just lost another village to Islamists

I find Sankara’s distilling of various modes of revolutionary thought into something actually applicable to his situation all the more interesting within the context of modern US politics. In general we have a culture that does exactly the opposite. Americans will bend anything geopolitical to fit a narrowly defined framework that they apply to everything, no matter how tenuous the comparison. It limits our ability as a people to understand with any nuance the material conditions that create global politics.

Not just the US but most Empires. Doesn’t help that Americans are raised to accept without question that US is exceptional.

One of your best episodes so far. Thank you.

ChigBungus

Oh yeah 100% Living in the imperial core you’re just so saturated with bullshit that people lose the capacity to even recognize the systems operating around them. Of course that’s an intentional project, it’s just always disturbing to see it in action.

One of the best eps. Really good stuff.

Damn this episode is fantastic. I was just teaching my therapist about what a fucking badass Thomas Sankara was in our session. I was hoping I could share this episode with her but alas, it is paywalled 😭
