The moment this one pulled ahead in the poll I started drawing it, GOOD THING IT ENDED UP WINNING

Chris Olstrom

Most impressive turnaround, dude. Super fast!

Vanestus

Adorable Greyhounds!

Kriss Pang

Mr Smooches is awesome!

Summer Sudbrink

Creepy snake eyes: Possibly a result of hating Ben Stein. Or wanting to impress Sam.

Paul Cantrell

I voted for this and I am not disappointed.

Anonymous

I did not realize how strongly changing font would convey sound but now i know better. AZATHOTH is best dog.

Anonymous

All style, no morals. Kind of like Oscar Wilde was God. Which would explain a lot, come to think of it.

Abhayakara

It was never not going to win. Come on! :)

Anonymous

I still suspect that the spookybot collective is somehow related to Gary.

Ben Russell-Gough

The Collective, ladies and gentlemen. The power of Q but, fortunately, also a similarly juvenile and mischievous mindset. God knows what would have happened if they were ever genuinely malicious in intent!

Matt Grayson

Those are all speech balloons... I hear the dogs saying their names. Even the leggings have an opinion.

Douglas E. Smith

If you're going to have the moral ambiguity to dispense justice for crimes, yet still be unconcerned about the invasion of ANY privacy, then you have to have so much certainty that you are right in all things that smugness is an absolute requirement. So damn smug!

Manuel Schumacher

"Close the door quietly, or you'll wake up Azathoth." Classic.

jeff fearnow

I could look it up but...wasn't He/She/It called Corpse Witch for a time? Or am I mis-remembering the innocent era before we had our bandwidth consumed with daily political histrionics?

Corpse Witch was the nasty AI who forced Bubbles to work for her and stole her memories. Purple lady.

Anonymous

Corpse Witch is Bubbles's old boss, now in robot jail. If I recall correctly, she is named after one of Slick Henry's sculptures in Mona Lisa Overdrive, but I may have made that up.

Anonymous

My mistake. Henry has a Corpsegrinder and a Witch, but no Corpse Witch.

Anonymous

The one verb not preceded by a pronoun is singular, so only one of them likes greyhounds and they're plural, or all of them like greyhounds and they're singular? This is the most important issue of my day

Matt Grayson

Spookybot is post-grammar 🙃

Will Weaver

They’ve got legs for daaaaaays

Hugh Eckert

Generally not a good idea to name dogs after Elder Gods but I think Spookybot could get away with it.

Jeffrey Nonken

Something like "Slartibartfast?" ...I SAID it wasn't important.

Bagge

That seems like a correct assessment of the smugness factor.

Emma Humphries

Jeph, do you know @Wolven? You two could have a fruitful discussion about Spookybot.

Matthew Foweraker

Spookybot terrifies me. The fact that they like pedigree dogs, particularly one with inbred health issues, does not help.

Matthew

I VOTED FOR THIS! MY VOTE DOES MATTER SOMEWHERE! WOOT!

Some of the best dogs are rescued greyhounds. Very sweet, affectionate, and are willing to goof around doing nothing except a few minutes of frantic running once or twice a day. Spookybot liking dogs of any sort is a good point, not a bad one.

Nancie

I suspect that if I asked whether they are female or male, that the answer would be No.

Rob McBobson

My favorite won! Democracy does work!

On a board game site, I call myself "Queen Michael." Somebody asked me "Are you a boy or a girl?" I responded "Probably. Lots of people are."

Charlotte Grubbs

What would they do if I called them Spoopybot.

Tim Eldred

Using nigh-limitless power to mostly poke and prod at humanity and AI, largely out of curiosity, and see what shifts or tumbles. I really like this concept.

Philip D Jones

Yay greyhounds! I had two of them. The first had a five year racing career, which is pretty remarkable. His owners refused to put him down; waited for a rescue. He was a 72-pound Pure-muscled snuggle-bunny. He loved to run. My second left the track with a stress fracture, which killed any interest she had in running. She was the most beautiful dog I’ve ever seen . Spent her days lounging on the couch and eating like a pig. Never gained an ounce. I miss them both.

AI Greyhounds! ?! As others have mentioned, those could be AI speech boxes. Always wanted a dog who could self-introduce without all that butt-sniffing.

Krista Elliott

Spookybot is hopelessly smug but I still kind of love them. They showed real kindness and sympathy toward Bubbles after she found out her memories were gone. That alone puts them in my good books.

awgiedawgie

Well, if Melon had to lose to someone, I guess Spookybot is a good choice.

Rudolph Gerber

By the speed this was drawn and posted I think Jeph would have voted for this one too....

Sarah Manx

This really is one of my favorite character designs. :)

Cody Renton

I want more spookybot in regular QContinuity. They could fix Momo's hair! More trivial uses for unfathomably powerful technological capabilities! MORE!

Kevin!

I know I'm a few days late to the party on this one, but the arrows the word boxes in the rest of the comic seem to be pointing at specific things, and the one about her attitude toward morality is pointing sort of at her, ahem, lower torso area. Is her morality module in her butt? Is this just some really stealthy butt joke from Jeph?
