Peter McDevitt

If you give a moose a cookie, he will then bite your sister.

Mordaeus

I, for one, something something cookie moose overlord.

Kyle Major

What if the cookiemoose is made of mouse which is made of cookies.

Pete Hanson

Those cookies look like moose pellets.

What if the cookiemoose is made of mousse that is flavored like oreos?

Populuxe

He won the election against the Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home and Hiram McDaniel who is literally a five-headed dragon.

"420 years" ... I see what you did there, Jeph.

Am Queue

I need to know what type of cookies those are.

Hugh Eckert

"Cookiemoose, cookiemoose / I like a cookiemoose / I've never had anything quite like a cookiemoose / I've had many baked goods, it's quite ridiculoose / But I've never had anything quite like a cookiemoose!"

Bagge

Andrew

Huh. Was going to joke about making hemp tea... but it's already a thing!

BobC

Personally, I prefer "Moosecookie". Moooooscookie. Mooooooo Scookie. Moo, Scookie, Moo!

Ben Russell-Gough

I'm sure that this conversation meant something in the respective characters' heads.

Anonymous

So. Moose is over there. Where is Squirrel? Orders are to Kill Moose and Squirrel, right?

Douglas E. Smith

Did this pop into your head a while ago and the whole 'High Noon Claire' storyline has been a run-up to telling that joke? If so, then well done sir!

Greg Morrow

English is right-headed (compounds and the like are the kind of thing on the right side of the word or phrase), so "cookiemoose" would be a moose with some kind of cookie quality determined by context; here, made of cookies.

Alex Borders

Does anyone else feel an overwhelming desire to break off a piece of antler to eat?

If two entities are indiscernible, they are identical. That is: For any x and y, if x and y have all the same properties, then x is identical to y.

Don Whiteside

I appreciate the commitment to accuracy in making the visible sclera slightly red

I want a comic about the minor cookiemoose. I imagine it as plaintive, wistful, and under eighteen, but I could be wrong.

Well, yes, but it was working. It was keeping me from thinking about Mayor Cookiemouse, who becomes real as soon as imagined.

but now do you need to give the moose a muffin??

Anonymous

Never seen a cookie moose...although I have the rather startling experience of being stoned while discovering the epic guitar solo that lasts the entire end credit roll of TWISTER. If you're not prepared for that, that will entrance you.

Ruth Merriam

I'm with Don Whiteside. I pretty much did a spit-take upon closer inspection of their eyes. Totally makes the strip.

Mooster

Jeph, hey, I'm so sorry i'm doing this in the forgiveness/permission order, but I realized I should've asked before I used Mayor CookieMoose as my avatar. May I please?
