Kind of crashing out (not a lot though so no worries) because my voice is apparently not supposed to be lower but that it's more on the higher side and it's weirding me out a lot. And I don't really like the tonal quality since it sounds thinner and not as expressive but it does feel lighter so I don't know man lol I'll figure it out. Feels like an identity crisis.

It’s true that you’re actually more of a mezzo-soprano with a much higher natural register. It’s why it doesn’t hurt when you speak in a higher voice because that was always your natural way of speaking. You have a flexibility that allows you to go low, but that’s not the same as having a low voice. It’s the one downside to being such a talented chameleon, you end up accidentally masking your own natural sound, and you end up having to go through the trouble of searching for it all over again. To me, you have this wonderfully clear, yet dark texture to your voice that is especially easy to hear in your dramatic traditional Korean songs, your Japanese enka, your bardcore, and your slow acoustic and jazz songs, but it’s not a heavy or husky sound. It is extremely light and smooth, almost silky, and it’s something that is completely unique to you. It enhances all of your sounds. It energizes both your higher and even more delicate singing, while at the same time it’s what creates those sexy and sultry lower tones you’re known for too. It’s why no matter what register you’re using, your voice is always so gorgeous and pleasant to listen to. And yeah I notice it's not yet fully mature yet. It won't happen in a day. Try to move mountains and it'll take a lifetime. But I can’t wait to hear you unlock even more of your potential as a singer. Genius isn't enough to change sometimes, it takes a lot of courage and a lot of hard work. It's scary now because you're in unknown territory, but you got this!

I really disagree with the notion that your voice is "supposed" to sound any certain way. It just means you have exceptional range, all you have to do is master it. That's much easier said than done, of course. You just need to practice using this higher register you're working on. You'll overcome this, ganbare! 💜🙏

It sounds so pretty. Maybe because of your wide vocal range that you haven found the spot that you sing comfortably in. Perhaps pick a reference point first and design small achieveable goals around it, towards the sound you're going for.
