My first real megaproject begins! Factory 2 is slated to be a convenient and easily-expandable factory that doesn't even need calculated ratios to work properly. I realize quickly that this is going to take a lot longer than expected. I've still managed to keep this playthrough blind, it's a lot of fun that way!

It's only on the YouTube player (and not both) because I'm on vacation, and upload speed is too slow to upload it to two places.

I dont think you'll be getting blue science soon 😅 Btw it would be very smart to put an inserter into a chest at the end of your belt/inserter-belt (at green science) so you always have some for personal use!

I loved factorio so much I bought it when I saw your first video I bought It, I now have three hundred hours and a new top ten of all time games. Thank you Aliensrock

"If Factory 1 is so good, why isn't there a Factory 2?" -Tyler, probably

Kai Christensen

Heck yeah, been looking forward to this all week. It's super fun watching you go into this blind! PS: I find that YouTube streams the video at a higher bitrate than Patreon anyways, so I don't really mind the lack of a Patreon-native player.

That drift meme was great . Love your editors

Olivia Nava

Oh man that joke about pollution in developing countries... Not to get political, but dang that hits hard

Aaron

Yessss! It's here! Been waiting eagerly

Blakes World

Looking at the progress made in the series so far, is factorio potentially a game you could return to in the future or continue to play/create videos for?

Vizlox

Loving this series so far! I like seeing your factories get better

Logan

I love seeing all the interesting design choices with the boxes etc lol

Gawain

Thank you for pushing alt! Looks so much better! Also excited to see how you handle the oil shift. It's often a very difficult point for newer players. Thanks for the video!

"more than enough iron plates"... if only you knew

Floatingreed

Boilers have openings at both ends so they can be connected end to end to use less space and pipe. Minor optimization but it can be useful at times.

Patashu

Can't wait for blue science

Floatingreed

You can make "repair packs" to heal your damaged structures.

Benoit Ranque

Looking forward to the deathworld sequel to this series

Cassie Jones

This is the thing I was going to say—chaining those boilers and also chaining the steam turbines is the best super minor modularity change to keep in mind. It’ll make the power plant designs at lot simpler to think about.

Cassie Jones

Nice job making your factory expandable! You’ve got great instincts for a blind playthrough from your previous factory puzzles (plus whatever advice you’re taking from the comments). I’d suggest applying some of your expandability and ratios to your mining too though—furnaces don’t run at the same rate as miners, and they’re wasting space on your iron patch, your copper smelting looks much neater and more sustainable.

Gojira

With the new James Webb telescope imaging Tyler should update his pillars of creation photo.

Noel P.

Amazing Video! 1. Thank you for discovering and pressing the Alt key 2. "megaproject" a very overused word for factorio ;) more adequate is like small or tiny project

Bebop Rocks Steady

how do you know there's nuclear power 🤔🤔🤔🤔

John Adamick

Awesome video, the Factorio series is really fun to watch! I really don't mean to backseat, but you can actually see your pollution on the fullscreen map if you enable the filter in the top-right, so hopefully that lets you start figuring out more interactions and consequences of pollution

Amythistfire

I can't tell which I like more. Tyler knowing nothing or Zisteau knowing everything.

sa3125

the factory readies itself to grow much larger

Holly crap patreon isnt on my "free social media internet plan", well, worth it tho 😂
