Omg I have 2 choking almost dying stories. One was when I was 5 or 6, I was in bed about ready to sleep and had a marble in my mouth (because kids are smart). It got caught in my windpipe and I was gesturing to my mom when she came in to turn out my light that I couldn’t breathe. She did a little laugh like “oh, you” and had gone to the bathroom and came back as I was turning blue. She gave me Heimlich and it shot across the room. The second was a couple years later, I was at my grandmoms and same happened with a life saver (ironic) and she picked me up by my ankles and shook that fucker out.

i once choked on salted lettuce and some salt went through my windpipe… and it burned ao bad… honestly i was ready to die, mostly because my aunt couldn’t understand what was going on 🥲 she ended up slapping me in the back and it helped

When I was in 8th grade I choked on a chicken and cheese slider. I told my best friend and she turned around and acted like she didn’t hear anything. Another girl saved my life and now I’m depressed and in college depth so I now I realize my friend was in the right and was just doing what was best for me.

Alright babes? Basically the UK can't really enter well-known acts into Eurovision because we will still never win as the show is still so political, even after the tried to change the voting process a little bit to stop countries voting for their neighbours - everyone knows they still do it, and many places will pointedly avoid voting for the UK because we aren't very popular internationally. If someone like Adele entered and still only got a handful of points, it would probably be quite humiliating for them and for the country, so we have to look like we're not taking it too seriously...despite paying money to support the contest each year. I genuinely think we should enter the United Kingdolls next year.

Wow Darby, I had the same near death experience the other day, including manually pulling cheese out of my throat. I live alone so I just knew I was gonna die. Wasn't as thrilled about it as you :P I was so proud of my country for hosting a great show this year! Thanks for a great ep!! Forgot to mention: I loved Germany, fuck the haters

Another Dutch subscriber here. Same about Germany, I also voted for them. The singer was so sweet. I choked on bread two years ago and needed to go to the hospital where they had to put a tube in while I was awake. That was not fun. I loved how well Nikkie did and that people want her to stay involved with the show. I hope she’ll manage in some kind of way. What was your favorite part of the Dutch hosting the contest? I loved our entry by the way, I didn’t get the low number of votes at all.

Loved everything about this! I'm pretty sure the Moldovan hair in question is a piece. So the front is hers (which is why the roots look like nothing anyone would try to put on a wig) and the piece is sitting a bit behind the hairline. Could be wrong though. She could just be a freak of nature.

Yay fellow Dutchie! Fine, you win, but my cheese situation was pretty bad too ;) I thought Nikki did great and I'll always have a soft spot for Chantal. Edsilia is so likeable and Jan was also there. I really liked ours as well, but it was a pretty strong year overall

OMG the exact same thing happened to me eating cheesy chips (french fries) last week. A lump of mozzarella stuck to the back of my throat and when I reached my hand down my throat I was just pulling it out in strings. Thought I was gonna die.

It’s so great to see another Dutch drag lover here 😁 Lol, nope equally bad as choking is always bad, especially when there’s nobody to help. We’re a cheesy country 😛, but for me bread is always the worst. I had to laugh so hard when Chantal couldn’t help laughing at Jan, especially during the first semi final. I love Nikkie’s positive energy. I really enjoyed the look lab videos on YouTube, it was such a fun way to get to know the people behind the acts. Normally you only see them perform and that’s it. I hope they’ll keep that in. It’s funny as when I listen to the songs now and focus on lasting power the songs I like the most definitely change. I hope the UK will send one of their drag groups next year, that would be so much fun. I’m also curious about the US version and will keep everything crossed they’ll involve Nikkie there too. She gets the festival so well.
