The full release is now finished and available within the Full Version purchase or subscription. What's different in this update:Tightening across all the systems that run the world, plus two new scripts.

This version of Jangale is a fully self-run world. You craft your story without managing scripts or lorebook entries.

Two new scripts

Encounter Pool — This brings the lorebook to life. The world now populates itself with characters, factions, creatures, and ambient events that trigger based on where you are, the weather, and what's happening around you. It does this region by region as well as within sublocations in these regions. All the encounters have cooldowns so you don't keep seeing the same event over and over. The ambient layer populates more surface-level events, interactions, or atmosphere. All this runs on its own, no tinkering required.

Promote Character — highlight any name in the story (double check they're not already an existing lorebook character) and turn them into a tracked character with a deep psychology and persistent inner life. Promoted characters remember, want things, and carry forward.

A rebuilt skill system

The Probability script — this went through a full audit. This measures actions against your character's skills then directs the AI on how to generate the outcomes of certain actions. You gain XP when you use a skill and eventually level it up. A lot of bugs and kinks were worked out of it, runs much smoother now. Added difficulty levels to it.

Time, weather, and location

The Journal script was retooled to more precisely feed this information to the AI, night always feels like night now, the AI always knows your location and triggers appropriate lorebook entries. Regional weather now has cooldowns. All of this is managed by itself.

Polishing

All the supporting documents (system prompt, memory, author's note) were tightened and improved, tokens cut where possible.

A lot of world political structure and purposefully different generation for different regions was emphasized and strengthened.

Built a beginner's guide (with a video) on how to start playing within two minutes of downloading the scenario.

Fixed a number of minor bugs and consistency issues.

Removed a lot of management tasks that used to be demanded of the player.

The world runs itself now so you can just play.

This is honestly an amazing creation that works so well. The worldbuilding and thematic elements are interesting but they're definitely a very specific choice that might not appeal to everyone. What would be really great is to come up with a scenario based on this, that allows you to define your own world. Same mechanics underneath. Might need to be limited to fantasy worlds. But that might hold broader appeal vs. your own world. Not to say that your worldbuilding is bad - far from it, its quite elaborate and complex. Just thinking about bringing more folks onboard with a way for them to create their own fantasy worlds using this script system.

Thank you for the compliment, I know the thematic choice is not appealing to all and may limit audience. I thought of making a PG-13 version at some point but it is hard to lessen the thematic elements without undercutting and trivializing the Cormac McCarthy tone I'm aiming for. The script system was built for this exact lorebook so that would be difficult to replicate for a different world. But I will think on it. Thank you again for the compliment.
