--Interestingly, it wasn't only Hachi, but almost every main Arlong Pirate that Oda drew with the Sun mark from the start. Even the three Macro fishmen that kidnapped Camie (who debuted kidnapping her in that cover story) also had the sun mark. Those Macro Pirates are strongly implied to be who kidnapped and sold Hancock and her sisters in her flashback. --Vice Admiral Momonga was one of the five that we saw Buster Call Enies Lobby. --Franky's personality being an extension of his fuel was explored more in Enies Lobby as a gag. --You wrote Gourmet Town "Pucci", one of Water 7's trade/train neighbors. --Revealing the whereabouts of the crew were only a series of short cover stories. The anime greatly expanded their content to fill time. --It so happens "Mechanical Island" was mentioned once before in a cover story you've seen. It was an island where a man built automatons which later went to the moon when he died, and became soldiers of Enel.
