Unrelated rant, the post timeskip is infamous for the pacing getting worse over time. Even I have to admit that, and it took me years to notice negative parts of the show. I personally didn't mind how many chapters get adapted a week until I caught up and started reading chapters, and even then I didn't complain. The point I'm getting at is that "One Pace" edit is popular once this arc starts, and while I'd rather someone use it over quitting One Piece, I just HATE it. They justify cutting things out just because it's not in the manga but the edits are clumsy and jarring, some context gets glossed over, and so many epic animations, soundtracks, and funny gags get lost or butchered by manga purists who sometimes do so arbitrarily with no appreciation for what was added. But what can I say, if you watch as many One Piece reactions as me, it doesn't feel like a waste of time. I get that others have better things to do. And yes, the pacing will slowly get worse, until eventually the final saga will settle into a formula that compromises in a way many of us like, especially with endings returning. I can't wait to see the remake. (You might not notice pacing so bad watching 7 times more content a week than the original airing, so no worries)

For sure! Some people recommended One Pace to me when I started watching One Piece but there's basically no situation where I'm gonna do that on my first watch of the show. I have my issues with the pacing and I'm sure it's going to get worse and I'll probably complain a little - but I wanna watch the show the way they made it. And I love that One Piece is long, so I want to experience all 1000+ episodes. If I was just trying to catch up, and if I was someone who didn't necessarily love the length of One Piece but liked the story, then I can see One Pace being a cool experience for me. But that's not really who I am. And as you said, 7 episodes a week is actually making this show go SO much faster than I expected. I'm shocked I'm basically on episode 600 already.

agreed, pace is worse in new world, but one pace is actually terrible in an so many locations, especially in big fights
