When you were talking about Tenzin’s struggle to teach the new Airbenders, it reminded me of what Iroh once said to Zuko when he was teaching him how to Lightningbend. He said that learning things from different cultures from different nations makes one so knowledgeable. It’s what makes the Avatar so powerful. So just like you said, all what Tenzin needs is a way to convince these people what they were gonna get from learning the culture and history of the air nation. But I think it’s a good thing that they are showing the slow process for the new airbenders to adjust instead of showing them really invested and learning it right away.
