Hello Captains! 👋

Today, we put down the paintbrushes and picked up the calculator. In Project-Realish 1.4, we have perfected the "invisible hero" behind the stunning reflections (SSR) and lighting (RTGI) you’ve seen so far.

(SSR & RTGİ) Atmosphere depending on the tone of light ☀️

These black-and-white images I’m sharing might look like a "broken TV" to some. But for a modder, these images are the "Holy Grail."

📊 WHY DOES THIS MATTER? (Technical Analysis)

These images represent the game engine's Depth Buffer data. In other words, this is how the shader perceives the world in 3D.

Black Areas: Objects closest to the camera (Cockpit, steering wheel).

White Areas: Infinite distance (The horizon).

Gray Tones: The mathematical distribution of the distance in between.

🛠️ WHAT DID WE SOLVE TODAY?

Mathematical Linearity: We successfully translated the game's logarithmic depth data into a language the Shaders can understand (Linear). The smooth gradient of gray tones in the images proves that distance is being calculated down to the millimeter. What does this mean? Shadows will no longer float in mid-air; they will land exactly where they belong, right under the wheels.

Interior & Exterior Sync: This is the biggest headache in ETS 2 modding: You tune it for the outside, and it breaks inside the cockpit (or vice versa).

Image 1 (Interior): The windshield depth is detected correctly, keeping the outside world behind the glass. (Effects won't bleed onto your steering wheel!)

Interior

Image 2 (Exterior): The truck geometry and road depth are in perfect harmony.

Exterior

Connection to Previous Updates: The "Perfect Night Reflections" and "Gloomy Daylight" I mentioned in Devlog #3 and #4 are built upon this mathematical foundation. Thanks to this calibration, reflections won't "slide" around; puddles will sit exactly on the asphalt where they should be.

🏁 CONCLUSION: Graphics aren't just "decoration"; they are precise mathematics. Today, we solidified the backbone of Project-Realish 1.4. Now, whatever we build on top of this will stand rock solid! 🏗️

Finally, you can see how much the game has changed from the test videos.

Hello, first I would like to acknowledge your hard work. Secondly, will we be able to continue using PNGs purchased on Facebook for ATS and your 1.4 mod? Thank you for what you do for the license.
