This update brings a new rain puddle system, improved wet surfaces, and stronger lighting. Asphalt textures for bad weather and rainy conditions have been converted to PBR materials, giving roads a much more realistic wet-weather appearance. The lighting improvements also carry through to the rest of the scene.
A big part of the work went into fixing the issues that got in the way of actually enjoying the mod. Ghosting, flickering, and delay have been completely eliminated. DLAA has also been added to reduce shimmering and keep the image stable in motion.
MFG is now supported up to 4X, alongside multi-monitor Surround setups and VR. GPU compatibility has been expanded to all graphics cards, and the issue where the graphics failed to appear in Photo Mode and other modes has been fixed.
For the best experience, it is recommended that you play using only the Weather mod available on the Steam Workshop.
Here are my recommended settings based on VRAM:
32 GB VRAM: 8K, 400% scaling, XHigh mod resolution, Level 3, Frame Generation 2X.
24–32 GB VRAM: 4K, 400% scaling, High mod resolution, Level 3, Frame Generation 2–3X.
16–24 GB VRAM: 4K, 300% scaling, High mod resolution, Level 3, Frame Generation 3X.
8–16 GB VRAM: 2K, 400% scaling, High mod resolution, Level 3, Frame Generation 3–4X.
8 GB VRAM and below: 1080p, 200–300% scaling, High mod resolution, Level 2, Frame Generation 4X.
