since Caleb is half elf just how long is his life expectancy going to be?

If I'm being honest, I haven't locked that element of the lore up yet. All I've really got in my head on the topic is "older than a human, younger than an elf"--but definitely inheriting some of that longevity. What kind of long lividness do you typically think of when you think of an elf? Same age as a human but with pointy ears? Or a person who counts their life in centuries? Millenia? Fully immortal?

I usually picture elves as ancient beings who live for centuries tho not quite immortal, but long enough that their perspective on time and life feels alien compared to humans. Being able to remember things generations forget

I think that's a great summary of the quintessential elf, and would say I share a similar view. I don't want to start dipping into spoilers, but I plan to get into more of the history of Deadfall Village and what happened to the Mycari in the second book/arc, and that'll likely be the place to unpack some of this more.
