And that was Turning Point 2. The director put that scene at the very beginning so we could really feel Orsted's curse and fear him when he actually shows up. Also, a little fun fact about Rudy's fireball: since he can cast magic through visualization, he was imagining a nuke at that exact moment. Orsted realized this and neutralized the attack so everyone else in this country wouldn't die in the explosion.
