Yeah, her curse is real and would actually kill her. I’m not sure if I should explain the curse to you, though, since it isn't explained in the official light novel itself but rather in the extra chapters released recently. I don't know if the anime will ever cover it, it hasn't so far. If you want to know anyway, just let me know.
