Announcement: upcoming changes to Patreon tiers (Patreon)

Hello! I have an announcement for y'all :)

In the near future, I will be making some changes to the tiers I have here on my Patreon. This is the first time I'm going to do this since launching the Patreon itself years ago, but I think it's time to do so.

First of all, I want to reassure y'all: the current tiers will be staying on as "legacy" tiers. No one will be able to subscribe to them, but they'll be there, with the same pricing and same benefits. This means that if you like your current tier, you'll be able to keep it: nothing will change for you, unless you unsubscribe and resubscribe, upon which you'll be forced to pick one of the new tiers.

So, what are the new tiers, you may ask? Well, the structure and pricing will be as follows:

• Egg ($5) -- you will get access to all my writing on Patreon, including the montly Patreon-exclusive stories, as soon as they're released.
  

• Hatchling ($7,5) -- everything in the Egg tier, and one vote for the montly exclusive.
  

• Fledgling ($10) -- everything in the Egg and Hatchling tier, one extra vote for the monthly exclusive, and you'll be able to put forward prompts for the monthly exclusive; you'll also have access to my drafts.
  

• Young Bird ($12,5) -- everything in the previous tiers; also, whenever I release a book for sale, you will get one free copy of the book, delivered through an Itch gift link.

Summing up the changes, compared to what we have now, are:

• The base tier (access to ongoing stories, and to exclusive stories one year after they're published) will be retired;

• The new Egg tier will be the same as the legacy Hatchling tier minus the ability to vote for the exclusive, and it a dollar cheaper;

• The new Hatchling tier will be the same as the legacy Hatchling tier, giving one vote for the exclusive, and a bit more expensive;

• The Fledgling tier will be the same as the legacy Young Bird tier, except it's a dollar more expensive;

• The new Young Bird tier will have no regularly-released stuff in addition to the Fledgling tier, since I can't guarantee I will publish a certain number of books in a year, so consider this a bonus "support me further" tier.
  

But, to reiterate, if you don't want to change you'll be able to stay on the legacy tier you're currently in. I'm not going to force you into anything :)

The new pricing structure will go into effect on Thursday, May 1st, 2025 at 12.00 noon CEST: starting at that time no one will be able to subscribe to the legacy tiers, and the new tiers will go live.
