Patreon exclusive story -- September 2022: voting time! (Patreon)
Content
Hello hi hello! It's time once again to vote for the Patreon exclusive story for this month :)
As a reminder, and for newcomers, how this works.
Each month, the patrons in the Young Bird tier get to put forward a prompt for the Patreon exclusive story for the month; the prompts are then voted on by both the Hatchling and Young Bird tiers, with Young Bird patrons getting two votes. (There will be another poll for their second vote.)
The prompt that gets the most votes will get written out as a 5000-6000 word short story; in case of a tie, I'll pick.
So, without any more ado, here are the prompts for this month:
Conventional Wisdom: Let us examine two examples groups of people who excel at high end nerdy. The first example is, for lack of a simpler word - chuds. Man children gatekeepers, gaters, long time dark web members who have built their entire identity off the precious belief they know what's best in geek fandoms. The second group is a community of nerds who used fandoms to find comfort and friends and often avoid facing hard facts - trans gals Our story takes place at Big Apple comic con where two such groups of four are about to meet head in the last round of the trivia contest. Where one member of the first group is about to have quite the eye opening afternoon.
Someone Else's Life: Jacob Mitchell wakes up one day in a strange house, with a strange woman and a brand new woman’s body. Luckily as a long time connoisseur of gender bending fiction he knows what to do to not be found out as an imposter in this body as he searches for a way back to normal. But then why does he want to go back less and less as time goes on. And what if he’s not as clever and genre savvy as he thinks?
Debate Club: Two guys in the debate club of their local high school have been long time rivals, and even longer friends (though they’d like to tell you they prefer the word frenemies). Everyone in the debate club can tell they have some… tension going on between them, but hey, they say they only like girls, but only girls that can out debate them of course! One day a person in the debate club brings up the subject of which guy would make the hottest girl in the club, if they were to suddenly switch genders one day. The two protagonists, in all their pride, argue with each other about it. And what argument can’t be settled by a structured debate, including some “crossdressing,” for a practical test of course. (Oh no, she’s hot!)
Woke Up One Day As...: It's been a year since Aileen woke up in a girl's body, and her life since that moment has been a whirlwind of emotions. She's made new friends, learned new things, and is even in a romantic relationship. But one day, she wakes up in her original body. Since she used to always insist on wanting to become a boy again, especially in her first few months as a girl, everyone seems to be happy for her, even her partner, who has made it clear that she'll be loved regardless of what she looks like. So why isn't she happy about this? And why does it hurt so much when her new best friend slips up and calls her Aileen again?
Vote for your favourite! The poll is here and closes at 12.00 noon CEST on Monday, September 12th (bit more than three days from now).
And thank you for being here, folks :)
