Patreon exclusive story -- October 2022: Voting Time! (Patreon)

Hello hi hello! Like the subject of this post says, it's time to vote!

As a reminder: every month, y'all get to vote on prompts which have been suggested by Young Bird tier patrons; those patrons get two votes, while Hatchling tier patrons get one vote. (There will be a separate poll for Young Bird patrons' second vote.) The prompt that gets the most votes will be written out as a short story; in case of a tie, I'll pick.

So without ado, here are the prompts:

Wearing the Mask: After receiving an invitation to a Halloween costume party that he didn't think was intended for him, our main character decides to go in a costume that he doesn't think anyone will recognize him in (a girl, to make it harder). But when a cute person from the party that he hit it off with starts looking for "her", he finds himself wishing he could be that girl all the time.

Debate Club: Two guys in the debate club of their local high school have been long time rivals, and even longer friends (though they’d like to tell you they prefer the word frenemies). Everyone in the debate club can tell they have some… tension going on between them, but hey, they say they only like girls, but only girls that can out debate them of course! One day a person in the debate club brings up the subject of which guy would make the hottest girl in the club, if they were to suddenly switch genders one day. The two protagonists, in all their pride, argue with each other about it. And what argument can’t be settled by a structured debate, including some “crossdressing,” for a practical test of course. (Oh no, she’s hot!)

The First Rule: Rumor has it that there's an underground group that provides hormones, clothes, and makeup to underprivileged trans people, but in order to protect their identities, they have a way to make your meeting with them feel like it was just a dream, even though the resources they give you are very much real. This is the story of one such encounter.

A Dream to Share: For years, Eislyn has known that she is trans, but because of her parents she's been unable to live as herself... in the real world. In her dreams, she is a princess in a fantasy world, and is able to live out her life wearing all the dresses she desires and is loved by everyone in the kingdom, especially her betrothed, Prince Almos. One day, a new "girl" joins her class, whose birth name reminds her of her beloved prince and whose appearance seems oddly familiar...

To My Dearest Friend: A therapist asks her transgender patient to write a letter to her past self to help her move on from her past.

A Knight for Role Models (alternate title Sword Lesbians): Teenage boy dreams of being a knight in a setting where the most heroic of knightly orders is traditionally women, and archaic laws, barring knights from marrying or having families, have resulted in both a somewhat biased self selection in the knighthood and a number of secret traditions of this order - including the fact he is far from the first young “man” to come looking for an exception.
