Broken Promises - Chapter 4 Status Report #1 (Patreon)

First status report for chapter 4!

As we said before, work on the current chapter had already started a few days before the official release of chapter 3.5, and that's what we've been doing ever since.

About Chapter 3.5 and Chapter 4.

But before we talk about chapter 4, We wanted to talk about the reception of the previous chapter. I (z) was particularly worried about how well the new stage of the story would be received, and wow, the support and positive messages we've received in the last few weeks have reminded us why we insisted so much on this project. Your support is something I can't even describe right now. We can only thank you, thank you very much for all the support, whether on Patreon, with comments on our Discord server, sharing the word or even with the reviews, many of which are positive, others of course not so much... but they make us see things in a broader way, so thank you for them too!

Many were worried that their favorite character received less attention in this chapter, don't worry, no one will be forgotten at the end of the day. Right now I'm writing some scenes that I've been looking forward to for months, there are some relationships in this story that are too complicated to build and that's what makes me happy when it comes to writing. Our plans are to release the new chapter by the end of the year, compared to the development time of the previous one it's a great thing, but don't take it for granted, we don't want to develop a broken promise xD

Changes on Patreon

You may have read or heard in the last few days about the change in Patreon's policies regarding the Apple Store, if you haven't seen it yet, check it out here. (attach the link to the official Patreon post)

In short, Apple wants 30% of all purchases made in the app and we as creators have 2 options:

1 - Pay the 30% ourselves to Apple.

2 - Increase the tier values ​​by 30% for users who subscribe through the Patreon app in the Apple Store.

NOTE, if you are already subbed through apple according to patreon this shouldn't effect you. It effects the new patrons sadly. We recommend that you buy through the browser on your phone, not on patreon app, because if you do it through the app the 30% price increase will effect you. So using your phone browser is a lot better

After a conversation, we came to the conclusion that we will go with option 2. We don't know how many supporters we have, but if you are one of them, we are very sorry, but paying the 30% ourselves is not feasible at the moment.

But to avoid making this a terrible thing, we will open an optional form of support so that you feel free to choose what you like the most and fits your budget. This should be online in the next few days, so stay tuned!

One thing that became a challenge towards the end of the development of Chapter 3.5 was the previews. Posting 3+ per status report ends up being a very painful shot in the foot over time, so we will post a few fewer previews this time. I hope you understand!
