Broken Promises - Chapter 4 Status Report #4 (Patreon)
Content
Hey,
So, in the last few days progress has been going well, in the next few hours we will reach the goal of 1,000 renders for chapter 4 which is great considering how much content there is still to come.
I reorganized my morphs because I wanted to ensure that I only save the essential morphs for our models, just in case something happens. I always have backups, but reorganizing is a bit more complicated. For some reason in the very distant past, every time I downloaded an asset, it would save into Vanessa's file (which is funny to me because Nessa works with computers, lol). So, a lot of head and body morphs saved to her files for some reason, and it ended up being 4 GB. You might wonder why I would reorganize? Well, there was a lot of clutter and unneeded assets in these files.
Let me tell you something about DAZ and its flaws. Every time you load a model, it doesn't just spawn quickly because DAZ has to open every folder containing an asset to check if it's being used or not. As you can imagine, this is annoying, but add 20+ characters on top of that, like in the Chapter 3.5 party scene, and well... you have to wait 30 minutes for everything to actually load.
Now, back to the point. Uninstalling and reorganizing the models will help me in terms of optimization, workflow, and it will also be easier and better for backups.
Because I reorganized everything, I found a critical problem that would have occurred if a scenario came up where we needed to use our backups.
Saving the head morphs was my priority, but I didn't expect to need to worry about body morphs that much. So, I had to go back and forth a bit with the models. As a result, I had to take screenshots of every unique female model we have in our game (which is a lot) and save them to the drive, just in case of a bad scenario.
With that said, here are some previews:
That's it for today, take care and see you in 2 weeks!
