J-hope’s album is finally here and you have probably already heard it 77 times since it was released on Friday. Yet, we are still excited to be sharing our full album reaction with you to all six wonderful tracks that Hobi gifted us with!! Not only do we listen to the album for the first time, but we also go through the lyrics!

We were excited to see more than one BTS member on a track again for ‘I Wonder’ and were curious to find out what Neuron would be about since it is titled after Hobi’s childhood dance group; that we will be meeting on the final episode of his docuseries! Plus we were curious about how Yunjin and J-hope would sound together on ‘I don't know’, as we are slowly being introduced to them!

y'all I'm taking that last sentence in the description seriously. im sorry in advance for the essay😭 ANOTHER MASTERPIECE BY J-HOPE/JUNG HO-SEOK/HOBI FIRST OFF THIS ALBUM HAS BEEN ON REPEAT SINCE IT DROPPED. (For streaming reasons obvi but its so fun to listen to. If I could put this on loop I would its THAT good. THE RAPLINE NEVER DISAPPOINTS. On the street solo version: A new rendition of one of my favorite songs released last year. The version with j. Cole was emotional, it was poetry and the music video itself was nothing short of an iconic collab between two incredible artists. This version had a new verse in replacement of j.coles part and it gave us hobi’s beautiful vocals. (BUT LETS BE FORREAL WE HAD HOBI VOCALS ALL THROUGHOUT THE ALBUM) I love his lyrics in the new verse “What the hell is time? Is it medicine, is it evil, or is it the fate to be sorrowful? Because knowing the paths and walking down it is different, for us I’m just walking all night, all night (alright)” (Translations from @btsinthemoment on twitter btw) Those lyrics really resonated with me. I wonder (ft. Jungkook): MY HOPEKOOK😭 This song is SO good. The second hints of the track-list was first teased, detective armys immediately began speculating that the blurred out letters may have spelled out a certain golden maknae. I can’t believe our first hobi/jk subunit happened. Jungkooks beautiful voice harmonizing with hobi’s legit made me ascend. This song is such a feel good song. I wish it was little longer but its a gem nonetheless. If they ever perform this in the future together…apobangpo yall. Lock/Unlock: One of my favorites off the album. The second I heard it I was like “yep this is one those classics”. Also Nile Rodgers at the end with the guitar riff? 🤯 Very groovy and rhythmical. As it should be tho I assume? They’re all OSTS and dance tracks. AGAIN. HOBI VOCALS AHHHHH. HE SOUNDS SO GOOD IN THIS TRACK. THE FIRST VERSE INSTANTLY GAVE ME CHILLS. When he sings “LOCK” damn. My man could have easily been a lead singer. ACE ACE ACE. I don’t know (ft. Huh Yunjin of Le Ssarafim): WHO KNEW THESE TWO WOULD SOUND SO BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER? Now keep in mind I don’t really listen to any other Kpop artists besides BTS. So I didn’t really know what to expect when it came to her voice but she has a really pretty tone and when HOBI JOINS HER RAHHHAJDALSDMS;DMA. I love love love when the members sing with a female artist bc its so rare. (Hobi, yoongi, tae with IU, Namjoon with So!YoOn!, etc). BUT HOBI RLLY SHINES VOCALLY HERE LIKE WOW. And I really love how hobis verse responds directly to Yunjins opening verse. What if…(dance mix): I cant believe they made a dance remix to What if… like damn to me what if fit so well in Jack in the Box as a coherent story. The original was very hard-core and the instrumentals were heavy. I did like this version tho. I also appreciated jinbos verse in this it added well to the dancing element. NEURON (with Gaeko & Yoon Mirae): One of my favorites IF NOT MY FAV TRACK!! Checks out bc it IS the title track but OHMYGOSH I FELL IN LOVE THE SECOND I HEARD A SNIPPET IN THE DOCUMENTARY. This song instantly brought the tears out of me. AND THE MOTION PICTURE? Like first off I love the imagery in the video and the color choices. Like it being in complete black and white with splashes of color. The color scheme at first reminded of of War of Hormone…but yk with more color instead of it being only red…you get what I mean…hopefully) The story of this little kid and older gentleman who I presume to represent a young/old hobi or just another passionate dancer in the making, traveling through the city, seeing other artists, human beings, etc. Gosh it encapsulates hobis message of community and love and dance so perfectly. And I love Yoon mirae’s verse sm when she says “cuz you can learn to flow, but passion it cant be taught” BARS. Also it being a homage to his old dance crew. The people who brought him into the world of street-dancing. I cant wait till we get to the finale episode btw its gonna wreck me I already know. LAST POINT: im so proud of how far hobi's come musically. like its been set in stone how dancing is part of his blood, but its crazy to think this man didn't know how to rap before joining bangtan. And to me hes one of the greatest rappers of all time. He evolved so much. Pre-debut hobi would look up to present day hobi as one of his idols :') IM SO SORRY FOR THE ESSAY I HAD A LOT TO SAY AND I LOVE HOBI SO MUCH AND HIS WORK AND PASSION SO MUCH. Anyways don’t forget to stream everybody 🗣💜💜

i love neuron so muchhhh, he definitely put crack in it, it also made me tear up towards the end. i'm so proud of him and i love this album.

"You can learn to flow, but passion it cant be taught" - Yoon Mirae.. I think this describes hobi so much!!! He learn to dance, to rap, to sing.. and everything comes from his passion... My faves are neuron and i wonder *offcourse I dont know with yunjin is also a close one..

Can I ask why you decided to share your reaction to i wonder and not Neuron on Youtube? It feels like a weird choice. Maybe even a disrespectful one. It's like if you had decided to share a reaction to Huh? instead of Haeguem which was Yoongi's title track just because Hobi was your bias (I know he's not, JK is, but you can see how that feels a little inconsiderate of the member whose project it is, yeah)? It feels like, despite it being j-hope's project, you chose to promote Jungkook at this time. And we really do need more visibility for Neuron. You have a big platform and I think it was a bad call. Would you consider uploading your reaction to Neuron to Youtube too? I think that would be a helpful and respectful choice.

Question of the day: What’s your favorite track from the album so far? - On the Street (Solo Version), I Wonder, Neuron and Lock/Unlock ☺️ - but tbh, I like all of them bec of their lyrics. - the "what if" lyrics was ❤️‍🔥 - I fell for the lyrics of On the Street Solo saying, "Knowing the path and walking in it are different." - also I wonder where will Hobi put his cover for "People Pt. 2" and "Still Life" hehe, I'M SO EXCITED 💜

I agree, Ive seen a few reactors do this already and its not really fair to Hobi. I know some people dont mean it in an ill way but I do also find it a bit disrespectful if his title track isnt getting promoted as much as his b-side is.

Hi Familia....the album is litttttt🔥🔥 I loved all the songs but to be honest Neuron and Lock/Unlock hit hardddd....the lyrics for lock/unlock are so hitting and he expressing his doubts...💜 My most favourite is Neuron....Gaeko and Yoon Mi-Rae were cherry on the cake for me and Yoon Mi-Rae...she proved why she is a hip-hop/rap legend in the South Korean music industry

this is the greatest gift from hobi !!!! ❤️‍🔥 i wonder is definitely my songggggg - but i'm also obsessed with neuron and on the street (solo version) aaaaaaaaa i'm so looking forward to the other docu episodes and streaming this whole album all day every day now hehe
