AHHH!! I'm so excited!! Thank you Familiaaaa (wow i'm SUPER early hehehe) Edit: I've been a carat for A WHILEE now but Super literally blew my mind 😧 also The8 had a collarbone injury during this, so that's why he's only in that one part!

Ash

Im SUPER early too lol

Tal

I love thisss ❤️ Thank you familiaaaaa ❤️❤️

katie_belle⁷ ⟭⟬

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh i clicked so fast!! Can't wait to watch this! Love you Familia!! Thank you 🥰🥰🥰

HeavenKidult

Thank you, Familia! 🫶 I would like to comment more, but my English is really bad😅 Saludos desde Guatemala 🇬🇹🫶

ann (without an e)

The8 had an collarbone injury at the time so he couldn't dance the whole choreo. Even in his part of this choreo he mostly used only one arm

bub

super was my first comeback as a carat and they literally blew me away!! so good <3 cant wait for maestro next week ><

via

Thank you Familia🤍 When I first saw the mv, I was also just dumbfounded and amazed. Their music, lyrics and dance really amazed me Do you remember during seventeen game caterers? Minghao said he had a collarbone injury so he only danced in his part and at the end of the song and only used one hand I think da rum da rim da is the sound of drums being hit like in tye music background and yeah, they filmed the mv only one day from evening to 5 am in the morning

Jungkookie

As an armycarat, I’m gonna say this as unbiased as possible (please don’t get mad at me, this is just info from that time) but I just want to give familia the context. Before BTS blew up, Koreans have this term coined after the best KPOP male groups of that time, “EBS” E- Exo: King of Vocals B- BTS: King of Rap (Rapline was praised heavily because not all KPOP groups have this much Rap mastery) S- Seventeen: King of Dance NOTE: EBS ARE GREAT FRIENDS🤩🥳 This was 2016 - 2017. Then by 2018, BTS blew up (deserved). BTS did start and ‘paved the way’ not just to the west but also how KPOP is now, i.e. own variety show, many dancers on stage, storytelling thru MVs etc. EXO, being older, went to the military and sadly got scandals. They are still known as a legend tho. The progression of TOP MALE KPOP GRPS (disregarding generations, just on who tops the most shows atm) are: TVXQ -> BigBang -> EXO -> BTS -> (Svt is climbing) (I’ve been addicted to KPOP since 3rd grade elementary hehe. Some might argue SuJu or Shinee instead of Bigbang but I put Bigbang because they were coined the King of KPOP then. Bigbang is the one who started 1.) Self producing, 2.) lightsticks, 3.) Coloring of hair, etc. Bigbang is BTS’s role model for a reason that is why I get sad when some Army kept on discrediting them🥹) note: VIP for years then to EXO, then became an Army watching your reactions hehe. I then became a Carat in 2022, but I knew and listen to all groups mentioned before I became their fan. Seventeen debuted 2 yrs after BTS. EBS got forgotten (kinda) and new kpop fans were brought in cuz of BTS (yey🥳 we becoming global) Just want to post this info because kinda gives more depth on why SVT is still so passionate a decade after their debut. Like, they know they are good, and they just want to keep on showing it. Carats also knew that they deserved more, because Svt is really talented. They lack nothing in vocals, dancing rap, producing, comedy, etc. Like, imagine all this rocking music, with mindblowing Choreo but they just got their FIRST DAESANG after 9 years from their debut. If you are wondering on why they got low views, older carats HATE streaming (majority). (I love streaming personally, I streamed as hell for BTS & Svt hehehe) Carats want to watch and listen if they feel it is good. It’s like, “if we personally don’t like it we aint gonna force ourselves listen” and they have a point and I respect it. Being a carat is a vibe and is tagged the most peaceful fandom ever. Woozi also stated he doesn’t really research the trend, just produces what he felt was best. Svt fans didn’t really follow the streaming trend but it did got passed on to the 4th and 5th generations. new carats stream, i noticed 🤗 But CARATS as a whole are loyal buyers. SVT is actually the BEST SELLING KPOP ARTIST OF ALL TIME (Hanteo Chart🥳) Yes this is true. It doesn’t get talked about, because majority of CARATS don’t really have an active social media presence. Older gen carats are also kinda silent? They kinda gatekeeped before🫣🤗 But yeahhh. So happy they finally got the recognition now, they deserved it🥳 Note: Minghao was injured that is why he is only using one hand

Riya@27

Ahhhh Finally!!!! I love Super as it was the first song or video I ever watched from this group and made me interested in Seventeen and to watch other content of theirs 💎❤️

Auclaire D'Lune

thank you familiaaaa .. i was really hoping you would see the its live performance .. their vocal with live band making the song feels more grand

Jungkookie

Yes pleasee.please listen to live band on the next music reactionss. It showcases their vocals. Svt can SING🤗

Jungkookie

QOTD: What’s not to like?😭 Also, as for Woozi referencing Goku, remember when u reacted to Svt introduction, and Woozi did a live from night to morning talking about anime😆

via

OMG, you are so cool and have to bow down to you😭🧎‍♀️ right, every generation has its own characteristics and in my opinion, in the 2nd gen because the internet world is still not comprehensive so there are still many people who secretly know them through magazines etc. and cause the gatekeepers themselves. entering the third generation of kpop, the internet has begun to be familiar to gen z children therefore we have started to see information and mvs from youtube etc. and the EBS era is still fresh in my memory. every survival show must use EBS songs for evaluation

cinnamonroll

Thank you! This really made me rediscover Super again. 1.5 years passed and it felt like the first time again. I enjoyed every second of it 🤗 The album FML has two title tracks, F*ck My Life and Super. In F*ck My Life, they cursed the world and feel miserable, but they realised they have to fight for their life to move on. How they fight for their life? Woozi said Super is the answer to that question. "I wanted to express how the world looks so beautiful from the outside and it seems to run well. But if you look inside, everyone's trying so hard to get through it." -Woozi If FML is the reality of life, Super is the drive and motivation to go through it. That's my favourite thing about Super. The message ☺️

Jungkookie

Tru, EBS songs are a must😆

France Ezikiel Garcia

I'm so pumped that you guys are finally checking out their songs, hope you'll also check their albums too! Side note, why do I think that Uthman's bias is Wonwoo? HEHE Also, Minghao had a collarbone injury that time that's why he only appeared on the 2nd verse. I'm also happy that Marisol also noticed Joshua's part of the "Power pole" because sometimes people doesn't notice it, and it's also part of the anime's "core." And you'll also see once you watch the other choreos of SVT, that Jun often has a center moment where he controls the dance movements of the other members, and whenever he does that, IT IS SOOO COOOL. Thank you for this familia, never clicked this fast! <3

cinnamonroll

and i think Marisol's is Joshua! 😆

Jungkookie

My guess is Uthman’s is Hoshi or DK then Marisol’s is Wonwoo😭

veenak

so excited you are doing a deep dive into seventeen’s discography!! when FML came out I was still a cubic/baby carat..! I still remember the “woah” moment I had when I saw the music video for the first time!! was so impressed by the choreography and the synchronisation and by the song itself like it was my 2nd top song that year on Spotify!! when I got to know it’s called 손오공 in Korean and significance of the character I was just amazed..! Later found out woozi was a big anime fan and it all connected.. love everything about that song but one of my fav points is the ending lyrics by woozi “This is this cartoon's/anime’s ending credits song” like goosebumps cause he is referring to seventeen as the anime/cartoon here!!!!!

veenak

this!!! I remember this in 2017 when everyone in Korea was like “EBS” I guess seventeen’s music was a gp pick cause most of their early songs used to go viral in Korea and always topped the charts!!! people were passionate about them but not necessarily stanned them like any idol group! no hate but also feel like debut of “wanna one” made a huge impact on that generation cause most of them became their loyal fans and this EBS got slowly diluted.. again no hate but Exo never had a chance of becoming more huge cause most of the members are not close with one another and the Chinese members leaving did not help too! and as an army i know how much passionate we were at that time in supporting BTS especially cause they were rising so high even in the west so Seventeen were kind of forgotten!! but again even then their song “Home” released in 2019 topped so many korean charts and put them back on the charts atleast!! I must say “Going seventeen” starting from 2019-2020 really helped them a lot in gaining back their popularity atleast as entertaining idols and hybe’s acquisition of pledis also helped them to certain extent!!! like yes they are awesome but many people didn’t know that and all this made more people actually know them and their discography and made them fall in love with seventeen!!!!!!!!

fml.proof

Omgggg, tysm familia😭🫶 qotd: the meaning of the song itself is what i love the most. Super was their ending song in their recent concert and for MAMA they changed the lyrics. (Original: manhwa ending song, for mama: MAMA ending song, becuase they're the last performer)🥹 DARUMDARIMDA is an onomatopoeia of drums. Once you get into svt's music you'll find a lot of onomatopoeia and random words that have their own meaning 🫶🫡 Super has also been revised (choreography) because of scoups' injury, so he doesn't do the jump anymore🥺 tho during super era, this was when The8 had a collarbone injury which is why he's only in his part and the ending. You'll also see him only use his one arm while dancing. For the next ones, i hope you can also include it's live and the promotions sketch as thats also entertaining to watch because of the interactions they have with other idols and their process during promotions🫶 Cant wait for you guys to do concerts and caratland as well, tysm familia! Cant wait for next week🫣🫣

Jungkookie

Yes! You summed it beautifully. In my experience, I was a pretty consistent casual listener of Svt since Pretty U.(became carat in 2022) But EXO’s bad management scandals were super wild then, and I was also a pretty passionate ARMY as BTS was breaking walls thru the west. SVT got covered and forgotten by most of the gp🥹. Now, I am super happy to be a proud Carat and that I found them again. They are so talented and they deserve all the attention they are getting. So funny that I became a fan in the order of the name too😭😆 E to B to S😂

Rae

You don’t understand how HAPPY this made me and how happy I am that you guys started reacting to SVT! I’ve only been a Carat since their comeback with HOT & instantly fell in love. They gave me that happy and special feeling like when I first found BTS, so my armycarat heart is full of joy. Can’t wait for you to check out more of their discography and all of their dance practices because they’re such amazing performers! & QOTD: I love the reference to Goku, the lyrics and the choreo & the mv with all those dancer is just crazy, so I guess I just love it all 😂

Rae

Also can’t wait for the Maestro reaction’ I thought Super choreo was hard (which it very much still is) but the Maestro choreo is something else!

KalaKeiko

I agree, although my issue with the HYBE acquisition is that now tons of people think that Seventeen was just a small group that was saved from bankruptcy and disbandment thanks to HYBE and BTS and launched to fame because of them. I've seen a lot of people using HYBE and BTS to bash Seventeen and looking down on them, telling them to bow down to them and thank them for saving their careers and making them as popular and successful as they are now, because they don't have the talent or skill to make it on their own and can only offer cheap fanservice and their appearances in an attempt to stay relevant and not be flops or comparing BTS' numbers and achievements with Seventeen. It makes me so angry and frustrated. Seventeen was the first group that I fell in love with. Their music, performances, messages, variety content, journey, stories and personalities is what makes me them ult group and they have been for years. They are incredible and so extremely skilled genuine all rounders, loving and humble. Their relationship with each other and their fans is so heartwarming and their journey and hard work is so inspiring. They still work as hard and passionately as they did so many years ago and never slowed down. Seeing how much they get bashed and insulted for no reason just because their company decided to merge with HYBE and suddenly discrediting them from being a completely self made group from a small company who had nothing at the beginning and who writes, composes and produces their own music, makes their own choreographies, concepts and ideas, variety shows, merch, etc. and that they are now priveledged because they are under the big 4 companies now. Even claiming that they use AI for their work because of a purposely mistranslated article from BBC after their Glastonbury performance and spreading it all over the internet to slander them and making people think that they are frauds. I'm sorry for that long negative rant, but Seventeen means so much to me and seeing how utterly unfair they are treated by so many people and having over 10 years of hard, self made work discredited for no reason, along with constantly comparing them to BTS and how inferior they are to them even though both groups are friends and have been for a long tjme. It makes me really sad.

veenak

@kalakeiko try seeing the positive aspect of this.. no offence but even familia got to know Seventeen cause of BTS and Hybe! so there’s nothing wrong in that.. so many new fans came in and they are getting the recognition they deserve!!! imagine if this didn’t happen and they remained the same small group even though their talent deserved more recognition!! so haters are anyways gonna hate even BTS got so much hate and are even getting it to this day!

mitzi

omg this comment🥰 as a melona room carat, i admit about the streaming😭 i really do not have time really but when i have spare time i make sure to stream and i make sure that i will support them on sales, concerts and fanmeets as a carat that started on middle school to now a professional i think we really have our own ways to support the boys💙

Fay F

Thank you so much for this deep dive! 😭🫶🏻 It was really interesting to hear your thoughts on this amazing masterpiece 🔥 If you guys loved Super, you’ll definitely love “Thanks” ! It’s literally my favorite song and choreography ever!

Jungkookie

@kalakeiko lets keep this thread positive🥰 Every and all fandoms has a downside😢. While it did make me sad about people discrediting their previous success, (and angry😤 because we do know how hard they worked and how big they were before) I actually (Re)found Svt in 2022 cuz of the news. And look where we are now, many more are joining us🥳. Lets be happy because we know SVT and BTS are besties way before and has crumbs from 2015🤗

Jungkookie

@mitzi wowww, I can only hope I found SVT then😂 That is so cool. And I agree, we have our ways of showing our support. In college, I also didn’t stream as I used to🤣.

Jungkookie

Then followed by the HIT and THANKS choreo😃

Himani Tokhi

Wow! Familia 😍 I just enjoyed the reaction soo much.... Thank you for such amazing n deep reaction... I am so excited for upcoming reactions 🤩🫰🏻

Arshi

You guys have no idea how happy I am that you are reacting to SVT's music now, It was because of you that I became a CARAT and everytime I listened to their music or watched their amazing performances I always wished to watch it together with you guys.. and it is finally happening now :D This deep dive was amazing and you reactions were the BEST!! I loved how Marisol was SOO excited about it all, and how flabbergasted you were by the end of it! You noticed A LOT of the details in the choreo too! This is such a great way to explore their music, would love deep dives for all of their songs you plan to react to :D

Arshi

You have my respect. I found BTS first and then through BTS I found SVT and now through SVT I am finding BigBang and each group is SO AMAZING. Your comment gave a lot of important information.

mitzi

we found them at the right time we need them🥹

Callie

Deep dive to Super is so much fun and I can’t wait for Maestro🤩 fun fact about Bumzu since you are going to see his name in like almost all seventeen’s songs is that Bumzu is Jin’s close friend! He’s the one who produced Abyss and Super Tuna😆

Jungkookie

@Arshi omg, so happy bigbang still gaining new fans at this year. Have you listened to ‘BLUE’ and ‘Love Song?’ Both have MVs and it’s my fave

dee

a little context for Maestro deep dive next week, Scoups and Jeonghan's dance movements were limited since they just recovered from surgery and still doing rehab exercise, Scoups from ACL surgery and Jeonghan from ankle surgery. so you might see them in the dance practice sketch being on the side and going in and out of the stage, only doing a few parts and dances that are manageable for them. Dino also missed the first day of practice bc of another work schedule but on the next day he was immediately on the same level as the other members. im always fascinated by him, truly a great dancer he is. and also for the song Maestro itself, Woozi sampled a bunch of Seventeen title tracks in the song so it was an easter egg party for Carats to find which song he sampled in certain parts. another fun fact, for Maestro, once again us Carats were challenged for a hardcore fanchants, saying their names in age order and then backwards. I've tried once and never looked back if I'm being honest 😂 for the MV, the concept was about human vs AI. there was a milisecond of AI used in the teaser but none in the MV. the implications were how AI will never be greater than humans. but then a journalist took this as a chance to tarnish and disregard Woozi's hardwork by saying that Woozi makes music and writes lyrics using AI. a lot of people, majorly fans from other groups also jump on the hate train and started to disregard Woozi and Seventeen's works. it was a hard time for us Carats but imagine how it was for Woozi. he had to come and clear the rumors by himself. he posted on IG saying 'All of SEVENTEEN's music is written and composed by human creators.' i applaud him for that bc he is not the type of person to make noise but since its about him and his members, he came forward despite the backlash. oh and also i think for both Maestro and Super, it took them three days to learn and polish the choreo. and if im not mistaken, from what I've seen so far, most of the time, for their title tracks, it really only took them 3-4 days to learn the choreo bc they always have tight schedules.

cinnamonroll

woozi also posted on his ig story: "trying to see what can be done with the use of Al tools" = "ai may have been used in writing [lyrics]" ??? 🤣 he said he TRIED using AI to write music, and discovered the pros and cons of it while doing so. that's why he wrote maestro- to say human cannot be replaced. also, Scoups said when ppl asked him to describe Seventeen's discography, his answer would be "Woozi's life". that speaks volume on how true he is to himself when he write songs, and how much effort he put into their albums.

Priyanka Banerjee

Thank you for the reaction! I love how you watch in such detail!! Super is just so cool! In the concerts, we even get fireworks at the end! IT WAS JUST WOW. It was the opening act for Follow and Follow Again concerts! In the Follow concerts at the start Woozi flys up in a harness and it's so cool! And in the Follow Again concerts all members come down in these harnessed boxes it's so cool! I'm excited for Maestro next week!

Priyanka Banerjee

og comment I so agree, I do try to stream but with my busy schedule it does get hard, but buying their merch is something I can do too! And I also love how I can love a song if I vibe with else I don't have too. And with their songs being so diverse even if its not a title there's always one song I love from the album! I became a carat in 2022 through Circles and they were actually the first time I stanned. Tho I immensely loved DWC since 2020 and it had been my ringtone since but I didn't even know svt haha. Wish I became a carat before but I'm glad I did find them! <3

dee

people will take and twist his words every chance they got even when he did nothing that harm them

KalaKeiko

Ugh, don't remind me. My blood will never fail to absolutely BOIL whenever I think about that incident. I am BEYOND angry at that journalist who didn't even apologise or even correct that blatant misinformation and how so many people, whether they're Kpop fans who aren't fans of Seventeen or people who hate/dislike Kpop in general just completely believed it and continued to spread it around, especially big accounts, and bashing, insulting and discrediting years of incredibly hard work, calling them untalented frauds and pathetic failures and mocking Seventeen for an absolutely FALSE claim that some random journalist made. I absolutely HATE seeing how much they get bashed and insulted for no reason and how many people are discrediting them from being a completely self made group from a small company who had nothing at the beginning and who writes, composes and produces their own music, makes their own choreographies, concepts and ideas, variety shows, merch, etc. I'm sorry for that long negative rant, but Seventeen means so much to me and seeing how utterly unfair they are treated by so many people and having over 10 years of hard, self made work discredited for no reason, especially since Woozi, Bumzu, the members and even their families saw the hate and responded to it. It makes me so sad and it really soured my feelings for Maestro even though I really like the song and the message behind it. It's such a shame.

dee

i feel the same and i feel for you. im also a predebut carat, and it saddened me seeing their hardwork being discredited and disregard. they did so much to be seen by people yet it seems like it will never be enough. theyre like the token group in kpop where before this, people were okay with them and praise them for everything, but the moment they started to gain popularity and won daesangs, people started to discredit them and tried so hard to find every little mistakes that sometimes don't even make sense.

cinnamonroll

oh i wanna add that 'face the sun' and 'sector 17' era was during 2021-2022, perfectly in the middle of 'in the soop' s1 and s2. of course we don't know everything, but i think it was around then that wonwoo's mother passed away, and the discussion of their contract renewal happen. they mentioned that the adjustment was very taxing and hard, since there's no right or wrong. it's just the perspective, and they really need to compromise with each other. hoshi said that there are many times he thought "should i continue doing this?" because it was very tough. they also went on a world tour 'be the sun' around that time. i guess the pressure kept on accumulating that it becomes very hard for them to endure.

no te preocupes familia también entendemos español 😉 y tampoco juzgamos. Saludos!

MexineseFamily

thank you so much for joining us on this journey familia 🫶 we're SUPER happy to have you 🤭 & thank you for letting us know about The8 too it makes sense as to why he was only in that part. If you don't mind us asking when did you discover Seventeen?

^_^

Of course!!! Wow honestly I don't even remember when I found them it just kinda happened 😭 but it was probably before COVID sometime bc i DO remember their music helping me throughout the lockdown and also GOSE! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

Arshi

Guys, your reactions are top-quality and, in my opinion, deserve more viewership. I hope you have shared the news of SVT Tier with the YouTube community as well—it could help you gain the viewership you deserve.

Michelle

Hello, while watching this today august 12, 2026 it seems like the audio kinds of cutoff whether or not I use my earphones. I wonder if it was on my end hehe
