I’m probably not the best to explain the “oppa” thing but other than it translating to “big brother” it’s also used to address an older male ur in a relationship with/ ur boyfriend or even to address older male friends ur close with! He’s probably flustered hearing her say it because they have a hoobae (junior)and sunbae (senior) relationship in the industry but because of the rule in this show where u have to talk casually/ informally to each other, Hobi was just caught off guard with Sana initiating that. From what I know, we never got that BTS and Twice picture that they mentioned. Like they said it was very rare for opposite gender idols specially those from 3rd gen. to interact infront of the camera, probably because it could spark dating rumours sadly. They have had a couple of collab stages and were interviewed on music shows side by side before! ARMYs and Once’s (twice fandom name) don’t really have bad blood between each other from what I’ve heard or seen, soo I’ve only seen these two fandoms co-exist peacefully and have only respect for one another. On top of that Twice have been very vocal in believing that BTS has paved the way for many Kpop artist, so even though I’m not a Once myself I’ve kept my eyes on them and their music, they’re a well rounded group in my opinion☺️

omg yes familia was waiting for this let’s goooo!!!!! remember how BTS used to dance to girl group choreos in variety shows? like you did react to few videos like that in YouTube tooo! they used to dance to “ooh-aah” “cheer up” and “tt” so much!! especially hobi and jungkook lol for any one who’s been long enough in kpop would know how hard it was for 3rd gen boy and girl group members to interact without being involved in dating scandals🤦🏼‍♀️ like we didn’t even know hobi and jeongyeon knew each other or that BTS and Twice took a group photo during “Boy with luv” promotions.. that’s how secretive they used to be to avoid any unnecessary scandals lol so it makes me so happy to see my wishes come true!!! There is this silliest biggest kpop mystery and an inside joke about how Jimin and Jeongyeon of twice have some kind of beef or something😭 there are so many hilarious (and cringe 😬) theory videos on youtube!! i hope we get to know what the beef was later🙈 anyways i was already so happy seeing hobi, nayeon and momo do dance challenges together but seeing them interact like this on a show is a dream come true!!! cause when I first got into kpop “twice” was the first girl group I knew and was a casual listener of their songs!!! i absolutely used to love “cheer up”, “tt”, “what is love?” “fancy”, “yes or yes” also Twice have so much respect for BTS like they keep mentioning them in so many of their interviews too! they deserve so much more international recognition!!!!

Loved the reaction! Missed you guys so much. It's been awhile. Alcohol Free by Twice is one of my favourite songs of theirs. It's such a good song and the vibe is perfect for summer (even though it's freezing in Australia right now lol) ... But for the sake of the timeline and when you both joined Army, Fancy by Twice was running alongside Boy with Luv. So I think that'll be a fun video to watch. I believe Twice is such a powerhouse girl group. I can't with their CEO but I love those girls so much. They even have a Collab with Megan too! You've met Jihyo (their leader) and Chae (lead rappers) alongside TXT. You've also seen Nayeon (lead vocals) and Momo (main dancer) in Hobi's challenge. In one of Jin's chaotic MC videos, he throws confetti into the air during an intro, the girl next to him, was a Twice member as well, Dahyun 😂 Their timelines cross so much, there would be a deep mutual respect between the two groups and I really loved the interaction crumbs we've had over the years but this interview was something else and Sana is so sweet and kind. She's the type of person that could make friends with a wall (her members laugh at how nice she is to people - she isn't shy at all)

Also the “Boss is watching” is an interesting variety program with their respective CEOs of their companies watching them, when all the idols competed and did fun stuff familia (you could say an old version of Game caterers but more like including many idols from different companies and not just from a single company) slightly cringe but funny!! I think you would like it now that you know SEVENTEEN and Twice too!! There are only snippets on YouTube but you can find them online!

Im only army cause i never got too deep into other kpop groups but i really love 3rd Gen Groups Music and the vibe they brought to award / music shows (it makes me feel very nostalgic cause i got into kpop when 3rd gen groups were really active) Back then it was really rare to see 3rd gen groups having an interview like this specially between big groups like bts or twice so seeing this made me really happy. My fav Twice's song is Cant Stop Me

I'm not very familiar with Twice but they've always been respectful to BTS and their fans also are respectful with ARMYs (and vice versa ofcourse) so I like them. I loved this interview, it was so cute and fun!!! 🥰 I especially loved how Sana was taking Hobi's compliments, still humble but she didn't shy away from them and she didn't deny either. She accepted them graciously and I LOVED seeing that ☺️

i was looking forward to this one, thank you so much! to explain the oppa thing, a younger female addresses an older male (but still in the same age group/generation) as "oppa" when they are close with each other - oppa does mean older brother if you take it literally (a younger sister would call her older brother oppa), but a lot of women also use it to address their boyfriends who are older than them, or handsome men who are older than them (such as fans addressing idols). this is also a heavily used trope in many kdramas. because of this, sometimes there is a romantic connotation to the word, and it implies a certain level of closeness. jhope could be flustered by the term for many reasons, but i think it might be that she's a really pretty girl who calls him oppa affectionately, and he was not prepared for that whatsoever LOL. there wasn't really any way around it, because he is older than her, and if they speak informally together, it could be rude for her to call him by "you" or his name directly. it made sense for her to address him as oppa, but i think he just couldn't get used to it at first haha sana is japanese (i think you knew this), but her korean skill is really good, so jhope was surprised by how well she speaks korean. most foreign members in groups lack some vocabulary or have distinguishable accents (even if they are considered fluent, so sana's skill is very impressive). this is just natural because most foreign members learn the language as a trainee, which means they first get exposed to it at a later age. sana being japanese is also why jhope was surprised she knows about the vcorn snack - because only korean students know it. i am so glad to see bts x twice together in this interview. their personalities match so well, and i really enjoyed their older brother/younger sister energy!
