We’re wrapping up Caratland 2024, day 2 today! 🙌Last week we started Caratland discovering new throwback songs, saw the maknaes and hyungs have hilarious debates, and even saw them perform songs that ‘don’t fit them.’

And today it looks like we’re jumping straight into one of their skits! Based on how funny Going Rangers skit was from last Caratland, we’re in for a fun one this time. Let’s go enjoy the remainder of this special night together! 💎✨

Also familia, we have to admit that we’ve been itching to watch Seventeen’s new documentary! We’d love to jump into it sooner than later, so what is the single must-watch that you think we should watch before jumping into it: Their 17 Project documentary, One Fine Day in Yeosodo, or a deep dive into their first title track Adore U?

Thank you for you reaction! I enjoy watching this caratland with you familiaa💙💙🩷🩷 I’d recommend to watch 17 Project first. Its is where you meet the boys before the world did . Also their young fears, uncertainty and the spark of who they would become💎 Its a perfect combination with the new documentary, that’s where you really see how far that little spark has carried them. The way they’re figuring out how to handle their success, keep their bond strong, and stay grounded even when the whole world is watching. Just my 2 cents 😚 Honestly, watching anything whether it’s 17 Project or One Fine Day in Yeosodo is already a win for us familia 🫶🏻 I just hope you’re enjoying this little train ride with our sebongs 😚

I think both 17 Project and One Fine Day are really good. 17 Project: an emotional journey toward their debut. One Fine Day: also practically one of their first reality shows, shortly after their debut (it’s very touching and fun to watch this reality show🥺) QOTD: Don't wanna cry🥺🩷🩵

QOD. Aju Nice, I remember back in 2016-2017 all of the Kpop compilations having that song. It was inescapable, and who would’ve thought that ten years later it still is. I’m crying laughing or laughing crying, idk. 🤣 I like One Fine Day, but for context, since you guys are asking about the song “Shining Diamond” and are curious about the new documentary, I’ll suggest 17 Project. 🙌 I’ve got mixed feelings about it but anything is enjoyable to watch with you, familia. (Also, it’s so cool that you have a Carat in the family, what a good surprise.) 😂

Yay!!! As usual the first thing I rush to watch whenever you post for the day! As for the next thing you should do before jumping into Our Chapter (docu-series), do 17 project! It's their literal formative moments and how they lead up to their debut. Everything else comes after so I feel this bit is the most important and you can then jump into other stuff without hesitation💕 QoTD: My first song was actually Adore U, I've been a casual listener since 2015 - their debut. So, u could say I'm an ArmyCarat coz I got into Bangtan in 2014 (Boy in Luv) then immediately into Svt in 2015 - my 4 major groups were these 2 plus Shinee and VIXX. I feel old...😭

TYSM FAMILIA!!! 🫶🫶🫶 I love that you guys got who are the hiphop team members that vocal team members are doing 😭 the way y'all said jeonghan was wonwoo, joshua was seungcheol, woozi was mingyu, and seungkwan was vernon was so funny. AND DK SLAYED🤣 Also, pfu doing "cheers to youth" is so special because woozi wrote that song because of hoshi. Hoshi said something along the lines of "its my first time living" during a fight or argument that led to writing "Cheers To Youth." 🥺🫶 During Day 1, they talked about how Hiphop unit had to adjust their spacing for the choreography. ALSO HAVE YOU SEEN SCOUPS' BICEPS ON THAT OH GOOD LORD. Shining Diamond is their pre-debut song, if we'll watch 17 Project, you'll see it get performed so much. The song is so good 😭 9-TEEN is an OST from a web Drama (kind of a sequel to A-TEEN song too). This is my favorite song of seventeen 😭 This caratland is special as well because it's the last ot13 in awhile. This was before Jun had to go to his hiatus because of his movies and dramas (if you remember from nana bnb) and before Jeonghan had to enlist. 😭 The last part was the SEVENTEEN RIGHT HERE TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT (only 11 members in this tour). I hope you guys finish insomnia zero before diving into the 17project docu or anything else because yoh might forget the context from the previous ep 😭 plus they're so good🤣🤣🤣

QOTD: I think it was either _world or super Just wanted to say that if you really wanted to watch the documentary soon and still do 17 project first the episodes are actually relatively short so doing 2 per week is an option. There are 6 episodes and an hour long debut showcase! Watching caratland with you is a blast 💖

qotd: dont wanna cry and clap. anyway, on a side note, they have episodes of all the units prepping/recording/practicing for the switch unit stages. it would be fun watching that together. but if your uploading schedule is already packed, i do hope you can watch them on your own.

QOTD: It was Don’t Wanna Cry in 2017, I was super impressed by their vocals and choreography, but I didn’t become a Carat yet. Then in 2021, Rock With U is what finally made me start stanning them 😍💖 One Fine Day in Yeosodo… you mean One “Bad” Day in Yeosodo 😂 That show was so unique, and honestly the best choice if you want to get to know them better, like their personalities, their group dynamic, the betrayals, everything! It was a whole roller coaster of emotions, and it’s literally the reason they lost all trust in each other and their staff 🤣🤣 I would love to see you guys react to it lol

Thank you both!! My very first seventeen song was actually Bittersweet by Wonwoo and Mingyu! Very strange entrance into Caratland for me, but it showed up in my recommended when it came out and I was hooked😼 I think starting with SVT Project will give you a genuine look at how they started! One Fine Day is more of a variety whereas SVT Project is all about their debut!

I think u guys should watch Seventeen Project and since the show has 6 episodes and the episodes are not that long u can react to 2 episodes each week so that u can finish the show in 3 weeks

My Thursday therapy is here!! Thanks again, familia, because of you I got to see the KKrubby skit once again… (my second favourite since Going Ranger). IDK if someone has already put this in the comments (someone must have), but SHINING DIAMOND isn’t just a song — it was Seventeen’s beginning. Their pre-debut track and their first ever song to be released officially, the origin of “diamond,” “17 carat,” the meaning behind Carat (the measuring unit for diamonds), and even the diamond symbolism we carry till today — including the caratbong. If you watch the very first Shining Diamond performance and then this one, you can literally see their growth — from their confidence, to live vocals, to their stage presence… and of course, that undeniable look of success. 🥹✨ That’s why it is extra emotional and special for SVT and Carats that their last full group (OT13) performance in their 10th year was with this very first song. And to Carats’ heartbreak — Jeonghan enlisted soon after, and Jun went on a hiatus to focus on his acting projects in China (though he did return for the current tour). The end of Caratland 2024 truly feels like the end of an era for now… the last OT13 performance for a long time. As an ArmyCarat, this military era is both breaking and healing my heart at the same time 🥺💔 From the heartbreak of BTS enlisting, to the joy of their reunion this year 🥹✨, and now the devastation of SVT’s military era beginning… it truly feels like an endless loop of emotions, like it’ll last a thousand years 💎⏳

Thank you so much!! I enjoyed watching Caratland 2024 with you! Love the unit reverses, GOLM, and Shining Diamond and the encore! I also love it when carats sing for Seventeen, it's one of my fav! As many others say, Shining Diamond was their pre-debut song; you can see it in 17 Project, and it's their first officially released song. It has a line "Slip into the diamond life", so many times when we say how we became a carat, we say like "so and so happened and I slipped into the diamond life". We also welcome new carats, saying "Welcome to the diamond life". Hehe. There are many expressions in and around this hehe. Thank you, and can't wait to check out more content with you both. QOTD: The first Seventeen song I heard was A-Teen in 2018/19. Before I became a carat, I was more into kdramas and k-ost. And A-Teen is the OST of the drama A-Teen. That's why it's the first song I heard, too. And the second would be 9-Teen, which is the OST of A-Teen Season 2 (2019) hehe. And around 2020, I heard to Dont Wanna Cry and loved it and made it my ringtone and just forgot it was an SVT song. In 2022, I slipped into he diamond life and became a carat through Circles, and that's when I realised DWC, which had been my ringtone for 2 years (still is), was an SVT song. I just liked the song lol. So yeah, SVT is technically the first group I am stanning hehe. And what's funny is, the reason I knew there was a group Seventeen is cuz I found it funny how the group 17 had songs named 18 and 19 lol. P.S. Their new tour has A-Teen, 9-Teen and 20 in the setlist hehe. 20 is a vocal unit song, but the concert has 9 9-member version~ ^^
