Thank you SO MUCH familia for watching this kdrama with us 🫶

Today we'll be watching the very last episode of Twinkling Watermelon, and it has truly been fun watching and spending every Friday and Saturday with you. 😊

Next weekend, we'll be learning more about the Twinkling Watermelon cast while watching behind the scenes videos and interviews. Thank you to familia who shared suggestions and playlists with us. 🙏

And the following weekend, Jan 23rd we'll be starting a brand NEW kdrama! We have a post asking for your suggestions coming very soon! 👀

Question of the Day: Where would you rank this k-drama? S being the best and D being the worst.

Solid S for sure! One of the best ending I've ever seen. Also their acting was 10 out of 10🔥 I really enjoyed watching this show with you guys. Thank you familia💜 I'm looking forward to behind the scenes next week!

Thank you so much for reacting to this drama!! I had so much fun rewatching this with you guys! I would rate this an A tier, it's a heartwarming show filled with meaningful lessons for all of us! I wanted to also reccomend Weak Hero for your next kdrama, you'll see some familiar faces👀….. it’s also the reason i decided to check out this drama as well☺️. The genre is different but it’s an amazing show!

Definitely S... I love this Kdrama and even rewatching it still pulls my heart strings. Hope you check out REPLY 1988 too.. it's another wholesome and funny family kdrama ❤️

I don’t think Eun Gyeol’s “mission” was ever about saving his dad. I think that’s what he thinks his mission was, because he’d spent his whole life carrying a responsibility that was never really his to bear. He was used to having the weight on his shoulders being the bridge between his parents and the hearing world so he naturally felt like it was his job to fix things and protect everyone. His default mindset was responsibility > self. I think it was really about understanding the past, his parents as people not about changing anything. It about learning love ≠ obligation, letting go of self sacrifice (inherited guilt), and allowing him to do things for himself and to live life fully even if things aren’t perfect or goes the way you planned it to. Ohhh I wish we were given the same opportunity in real life haha. It was a really good re watch with you familia! I’d like to say it was smooth sailing I’m glad you guys enjoyed it too ❣️

ahh been waiting to sit down and watch all week! was so nice rewatching with you, s tier drama for sure, yichan and chungha will always be one of my fave couples theyre so precious. excited for the behind the scenes and then next kdrama we get to watch along with you guys!

Definitely an S tier drama...it made me a fan of Choi Hyunk Wook (lee chan) even more Also...if you noticed when the Watermelon Sugar friends were saying they think Eun Gyeol looks like someone..it was because they technically spent their youth with him when he time travelled so he was a part of their life...and then the look on Lee Chan's face....he actually realized they met in 1995.....it was subtle Also...its just Eun Gyeol who thought that his mission was to prevent the accident..but it was never the actual mission...imo he was sent to the past to know his parents...enjoy the time with them...and understand that their life is theirs and he doesn't need to bear the burden for them as Eun Yu and Eun Ho mentioned I love this show to the core...waiting for your reaction to the behind scenes and interviews

What I love about this drama is that it fully embraces youth. The acting is purposefully awkward or extra at times because it embodies the qualities of how reckless and truly awkward we were when kids. I also love the connection between eungyeol and hi chan so beautifully done!!!

Thank you so much for this reaction! It was a wonderful journey full of laughter and tears and occasional angry moments, haha. This was my first time watching a kdrama with you, having just watched your SVT content previously, and I loved it, and I am glad it got to watch it with you! Thank you. And one thing I would mention. It's hinted that Leechan met Chungha again abroad. The brochure Eungyeol read in the future listed Leechan's uni names, and it was the same uni that Chungha's dad said he would send her to. He said it was a uni for people with hearing disabilities. Also, since Chungha's dad said that he would cover Leechan's hospital bills and education as the stepson had caused the accident, I believe it would have helped Leechan go abroad. P.S. I think it's also implied that Leechan realises his son is his friend because of the cassette, and when the friends say he looks like someone familiar. QOTD: I would rate this a solid "S". If there was any timeline where I have not watched this drama, I am gonna be mad at myself from that timeline, haha. Thank you again!

Of course S tier👏🏻✨

A for me! How about you familia? I’m curious why you don’t rate the K-dramas you’ve watched like you used to. Please do it again, I’m curious about your opinion and rating💜

tesalonika

and for the next kdrama i recommend you to watch 2521!! won’t stop recommending you to watch this one bcs it’s sooooo good! yi chan is also there if you like twinkling watermelon, you’ll like 2521 too. both are amazing but i love 2521 more than twinkling watermelon

Priyanka Banerjee

I really love While You Were Sleeping too! I rarely rewatch dramas by myself, but this is one drama I have few times!

RJSnowyGlobe

Me too. I really love it a lot and I think it is one of the best kdramas. Sad that it is not being recommended much, maybe because its old from 2017. I really hope one day they watch it ☺️

Purple Chamchi

It was so fun to rewatch this kdrama with you familia! I loved the end and how Eun Gyeol managed to change so many things for the better. It seems like his dad at the end really recognized him as the friend who was his son from the future! My only "complaint" for this final episode is that I would love if they had included scenes of how Ha Yi Chan got back together with Yoon Cheong Ah, how Cheong ah got closer to her dad while studying abroad or at least a scene of how she took her dad's decision and if she got to know the news about Yi Chan's accident. Also, how Viva grandpa approached his daughter Choi Se Kyung after what his granddaughter told him, and of course, how Eun Yu's life changed and her reaction meeting with her mom again! I'm so curious 😭
