Happy Thursday familia 💜 

Not sure if you were able to catch JK’s most recent live before it was deleted but today we’ll be checking it out together! We actually caught some of it while JK was live, and were looking forward to watching it with you with Eng subtitles but later realized it was deleted from Weverse. 😭

Since there won't be official subtitles available, we tried to find the best ones on YT and share our thoughts as we watch.This live definitely stirred up some opinions so we wanted to watch it for ourselves for the full context! 

And honestly, to us it felt like JK was just being himself and wanting to be honest with ARMY. plus share the good moment he was having with us 💜

My honest take on the live is that he was trying to say that he had someone in his live but didnt know how to convey it.

Im also super glad he spoke up and broke the “idol image” standard in korea. He was being real and human and thats how it should be. He also said on weverse that he was going to start living life his own way now and that we should root for him. Super proud of him!

I think that he was being genuine. Honestly, this live reminded me of who Jungkook really was. We see him in ads looking like a super human, but on live he is just a human with feelings too. I was happy to be on the live and support him.

QOTD: I also caught this live in real time and relied on twt army for translations. I personally loved his honesty. He was the most transparent he’s been in a while. I think he really values army and our closeness, and he was seeking that closeness during this time. But I can’t lie, I was very worried for him only because I knew this live would create controversy and I didn’t want jk to have to deal with negative opinions from others. But how sad is that, that my initial reaction was protectiveness because I didn’t trust others to see his heart how we do? I think that speaks to how high people put idols on a pedestal and how they expect them to be perfect all the time. I just hope a day comes where idols can be honest with fans without being judged for sharing their real thoughts.

I was panicking yesterday coz i was just planning to back to go back it once there are subs but then it wasnt on Weverse anymore when I checked again. Then i saw army edits about it being deleted. i actually liked jk getting vulnerable with us and just being his natural self <3 it sucks that everything he says gets so sensationalized for clicks online, i really don't think he said anything crazy here. i think army understands jk so he doesnt have anything to worry about :]

haha i wouldn’t be too harsh on his friends!! he’s known his friend from busan since kindergarten apparently and the other one is his brother so i’m sure they’re aware of jk’s boundaries!! they all seem to be really playful with each other haha! i think jk was playing around a little when he was telling him not to smoke just for armys not really for himself lol, but like he said, he just wants to be able to express himself and for everyone to be their genuine selves and live comfortably

This kookie live had the same vibe as Joon's live last time. It's a mix of honesty, frustration, and so much trust and love. So happy and proud of kookie for being so expressive and open. I never want to hear him, and any of the members, ever apologize for being so honest and open with us. I just want to tell them how much I appreciate their honesty and how much I hope they get to just be & do whatever they want. I respect all 7 of them as humans first💜 Seeing bts living authentically and doing whatever the fck they want is truly what I wish for, that’s my love song!!

I just know jimin isn’t going to scold kookie for expressing his feelings. All jimin would’ve most likely done is advise not to drink on live. I think he would say, “How are you doing? Do you want to talk?…..Have a happy time together with army but don’t drink during live.”(Like Jimin commented on one of kookies Weverse Live before “don’t do the live while drinking.”)

So tired of the negative judgement & criticism JK received from this Live. Good grief he's a grown ass man, their is no need for some people to crucify him for him sharing his thoughts with us & being genuine & vulnerable. He was having a good time with his brother & a good friend from his home town. So what if he was a little tipsy, we've seen him like that before & since he was in his house he can do whatever he wants. BTS are all adults & their is no need for Hybe or Korean media to dictate how they should act, or censor what they say!!! Honestly, I think it would have been better to read Army's live translation on X than this because the translation here doesn't come close to his real words, :( and it just causes more confusion and misinterpretation. Firstly, he was saying "real brother", as in his biological older brother, but it was romanised to "chin young" the korean word for it not a name. The controversy wasn't about his friend smoking next to him while he's live nor was he mad at him for doing it while on live. I appreciate Jk's honesty in this live soo much he was legit being soo honest with army thats all he wasnt hiding anything!! 💜💜 Its sad that as an idol/and a huge superstar he cant freely express himself 😥🥺 he is human at the end of the day and is a grown man!! I have a theory. What if this was all planned? What if someone needed to do something to check how much honesty armys can take because after ARIRANG, everything will change. What if they will all be more open and less secretive. What if next time JK will introduce us to his girlfriend of 8 yrs and Jimin will announce he is about to get married and JHope will announce he is also pursuing someone, etc. I would love for all of them to have girlfriends already and marry their one true love and have kids while they are still young. And all of these they can do even while still making awesome music and doing concerts. I want them to break the norm. I want them to create a new norm where KPop idols can be more open and less restricted.

Seconding other familia's comments. Just in case you want to watch it again with accurate subs, I watched it from Hybe Boy Channel. He's Korean and does translation of BTS' Weverse lives by speaking. So you don't need to read subtitles. It's kinda long, but he skipped through the singing parts because of copyrights. Jungkook was with his real older brother and his childhood friend from Busan. I'm laughing so hard when he flipped his friend, but he gives multiple hearts to us. That was so funny. 🤣 He also said, "I should only give love to ARMYs." 🥹 We're so precious to him, and he's so precious to us. 🫶 He's so real for this live.
