happy you're joining us as we begin a BRAND NEW JOURNEY of going through every single SEVENTEEN album in chronological order, starting with their very first album 17 Carat! ✨ Today we'll be doing a deep dive into the first two tracks, Shinning Diamond and Adore U 💎

The first time we actually heard these tracks was when we watched Seventeen's survival show where they FINALLY debuted 17 Project! (We tagged it for any new garlic familia interested in watching that along with us) 😊

After going through a very thorough deep dive WOW these 13 boys had SO much potential that they were ready to show the world! 🔥

Question of the Day: what was the very first SEVENTEEN album that you discovered?

Happy Wednesday Familia! 🩵 We’re finally getting to revisit the memory lane and see their progress over the years.. QOTD: I discovered seventeen through FML, so that was the first album I listened to. And then I got into my baby carat phase, I went crazy and completed their entire discography from debut + plus GOSE + all variety content within 2 months! 😂

dee

YEAYYY IM SO EXCITEDDD! thank you familia!! also love the unit concert idea! im so thankful for you both, thank you so much!

dee

IT WAS A BIG DEALLL WHEN HE CUT HIS HAIRRR hearts were shattered 💔💔💔 BUT HE LOOKS GOOD WITH SHORT HAIR TO SO 💔

mitzi

so random fact on adore u, jeonghan did not have any lines in the studio recording because he's sick by that time afaik so seungkwan recorded his parts instead ans during the mv his just lip syncing his parts😅 you can also watch this shining diamong perfomance; the last one before enlistment era: https://youtu.be/l7FEqt_O4s0?si=wOkVAITNpi71BB4s

Purple Girlz

Aww I just rewatched your reaction to svt game caterers yesterday, you guys definitely missed lots of inside jokes hahaha

dee

i love that seventeen has always been theatrical like the performance and them acting in it while dancing and singing, such theatre kids they are

Hoshikwon (new)

I’m so so excited and I wait for Until Concert Please ( Woozi&Hoshi WARNING concert 🎵) 🥹🫡

dee

OMG I JUST FINISHED DINO'S AND THE ONE FINE DAYS 😭😭😭 WE'RE STARTING THEIR ALBUMS NOW AAAHHHH YESSSS!!!! QOTD: FML since that was my carat era. Got into seventeen because of that. 🥹 For unit concerts, I'm hoping for chronological order too (hxw, cxm, dxs, v8, dino, then jxj) Cant wait for next week familia 🥹🥹🥹

Yue

Oh yes, Jeonghan's hair has it's own fandom. It's lore and evolution is so amusing to watch. 😂

SVT was set to debut in early 2013 with 17 members, but Pledis faced many financial issues and came close to bankruptcy. This left the company without the funds or resources needed to launch the group, forcing them to delay their debut. The long delays caused many trainees from the original 17-member lineup to leave the company, including Samuel and the guy who was originally supposed to be the leader. On the bright side, new trainees like THE8 and Jeonghan joined the lineup later.

This was funnn. Thank you, thank you! I'm gonna love these deep dives hehe. Also, another fun video: A carat put Seventeen performing Shining Diamond in 2015 and 2024 side by side; it's cool to watch in case you are interested hehe (not sure if you have already watching, it didnt show up on my search): https://youtu.be/_S58I7ekxxc?si=TMgKpLoFyp3ZoS8P Also, it would be fun to rewatch game caterers with you! Now I wanna see your 1st reaction again haha. It'd be fun if u react to you reacting to it tooo! TOTAL CHAOS hahahah! See you in the unit tracks next time ^^ QOTD: I think I heard a lot of their tracks first before an album (Ateen, 9teen, Don't wanna cry, Circles). Though I became a carat through Circles, I don't think I checked out sector17 back then, so my first album checkout would be FML(2023), as that was my first comeback after becoming a carat in 2022.

✨Hanniehae✨

Just got out if school and got surprised with this😭✨ so excited for this journey garlic fam!!! Qotd: first seventeen album I discovered was face the sun album

✨Hanniehae✨

10:31 yes it was HUGE DEAL not just between carats but in the whole KPOP industry, he was iconic for creating dating scandals for other male artists including his own members ( he even got a dating rumor with V) because people thought he was a girl, he was even voted as more prettier then female idols and thats just iconic

Izzati Mohammad

I still remember watching this after school hours, and now I’m in my mid-20s, still here watching them. 🥹💎.

SEVENTEEN GUIDE

Not sure if you noticed, but back then the boys were actually performing on music shows without in-ear monitors because Pledis didn't have the budget to afford proper equipment 😭 They were so professional from such a young age. In the following performances, you’ll start seeing members of the vocal line using regular wired iPhone earbuds because they actually pooled their own money together to start buying their own equipment 😭

Marnz

17 Carats 2024 in Caratland was good too

Dinda A. Elysfa

wow, finally it's here. So excited to check out their albums with you guys 🩵 QOTD: the first album of seventeen that I discovered was Attaca

Jisooisoo

Familia! You should watch their green room compilations.!!

Yue

QOD. My first SVT album I discovered was "An Ode". I wasn't a carat until a couple of years ago, but that album was soo different for Seventeen at the time, I was very surprised. Even now I think it stands out from the rest of their musical journey, it was a great sound. Rookie SVT is very charming and wholesome, just a bunch of passionate guys. I think they have matured and grow as people but not really changed that much (both physically and mentally). I believe that’s what makes them special for many people. Also, it’s so funny how they put Wonwoo in fighting scenes. They really saw him without his glasses and thought: “yeah, he can fight.”

Jungkookie

Yessss. Hehe. The reason I suggested they rewatched was because I rewatched their reaction hahahha. The familia was having a fun time but it was like an itch that I wanted to scratch because I just know they would appreciate the jokes more now!

Jungkookie

It would be sooooo coool to rewatch the GAME CATERERS X SVT, after the one (not) fine day! You’d get to compare and see the growth hahahahha

Jungkookie

So excited for this journey!!! I’m excited for you to get to my fav album wahahahhaha

Chiyoko Shin

And there's that iconic edit with a braid too! It was very recognisable at that time even outside the caratland

Chiyoko Shin

QOTD: I got introduced to SVT when I heard Don't wanna cry (from Al1 album) on the radio and I loved it so I just googled them and ended up listening to the discography they had at that time (2017) and ended up completely falling for them and just having their music on repeat

Nadia Santos R. 나디 :

I love your videos familia. Now that you know a little more about our beloved SEVENTEEN, I highly recommend watching their anniversary episode where all the members switch roles and impersonate each other. 😂💎 It’s absolutely hilarious, and now that you know them better, you’ll understand so many of the references and inside jokes. I’m sure you’ll enjoy every minute of it and it’ll put a big smile on your face! https://youtu.be/gY8ok-R0Mp4?si=QVLL_eqr9mNC-mzQ

aly

FML was my first album but i’ve been watching gose. think i started as a cubic. IT WOULD BE FUN IF YOU DO UNIT CONCERT IN ORDER!! 🫶🫶

Iva

Thank you Yossisvt13! !! A rewatch would be sooo fun. I'm glad you're having fun with svt I know I'm loving it here 😊❤️😂

Ashley

Face the sun with their song hot being the main song for the album

Whuutta4445

Love how we’re going through the memory lane while they’re away at the military QOTD: my very first SVT album I discovered was boys be 🥹

LilMeowWow

I love that this is a deep dive so much TY! In the full behind for the MV they said that the corner pop outs of them singing was the director's idea to help people get to know each of their faces, given they were rookies and there are 13 of them.
