There's this tv show guesting that they did back in the Wings era. It was hosted by Eric Nam, one of their friend who was a prominent talk show host in Korea. It was really fun to watch, and lots of pre-debut stories, such as why Tae and JK joines BTS instead of other companies, members habits and memories. Jin was really funny. taehyung is very barely in hwarang. I expected him to be in it a lot more considering how many people mention it. Like, he was great in it but all together, he was probably only in the show for an hour and there are i think 18 episodes or something, so I wouldn't suggest hwarang as a reaction on here, maybe just something to watch on your own. But American Hustle Life or Rookie King are great, i love seeing people react to their roots <3 i dont know why people never suggest rookie king, it was their first show and the foundation of their variety charms lol. And American Hustle Life is nowhere near as cringey as people make it out to be, everyone who watches and reacts to it actually say it's great and they really appreciate it.

As much as you guys hate american hustle life (some familia in the comment), it is one of the most iconic and important shows to watch as an army. They traveled to a whole different country to learn about the music that inspired them so much. Aside from some rude people and a few bad ideas, the show is still a great watch. i recommend it!

for me, american hustle life is not cringey but its hard to watch. maybe bcs theyre having so much hard times there. but AHL is definitely one of the shows that ARMY should watch since it shows them their beginning. and yes i agree on you about hwarang. theres not much of his part in the drama. and the storyline is confusing too. i stopped watching it until ep18. i cant seem to understand the storyline and i dont feel to rewatch it again ahahhahaha

AHL gets so much unnecessary hate. Like yeah, it can be a little cringey but there's the same goofy, good, hard-working, funny guys we know now. And you guys love the boys--you'll appreciate seeing baby bangtan learn about hip hop. It's got a ton of heart and is really sweet.

Despite everything, they learned so many new things and met some really nice people in american hustle life, so it makes me sad that some people condemn the whole show because of a few cringy moments :/ Even if not now, I hope you eventually give a chance to it!

i don’t think it’s the boys who were cringy, it’s the way they were treated that was really angering especially taehyung. it sucks because the show is nice to see how their understanding of hip hop grows yet it makes so many armys uncomfortable. i rly hope that if they do decide to watch it that the familia tunes in as well and tries to get past those really angering scenes. were in this together lol!

Everyone keeps saying american hustle life but I really hope that you guys don't because it makes me so mad and it was a part of their old concept that you can tell they didn't like. both jimin and jin have mentioned that they were given a concept at debut that they didn't feel fit them and they're so much happier now that they can be themselves. I think a good idea is to watch the comeback lives that they did before each of their albums were released. they're all on vlive.

I dont know if you have listened to all their songs in your own personal time, but full albums listens would be fun like all their albums + the mixtapes. I was expecting someone will suggest Rookie King but no, im disappointed 💔 Rookie King has 9 episodes(maybe 8, I really don'tremember, sorry), It was a MTV KOREA tv program where they bring Rookie Idols to do some challenges, like there's this part where they give them cards and one of them has a challenge or "punishment" and it's so cute and funny how they took over everything. You will be able to see them cooking, drawing, writing, playing bowling and basketball+doing the challenges! Rookie is, in my personal opinion, is way more 'healthy, positive content' than American Hustle Life. Personally, I haven't rewatched AHL bc it made me so uncomfortable and anxious of how bad they treated them, I really think that one advice in the whole show does not make it worth watching it

I have so many baby army friends and I'll ALWAYS say to them: "Avoid AHL at all costs, it's not worth it". They made a kid treat Jimin like trash just so they can have drama in the show, they took a real problem that happens in society as a JOKE and actually that is the main reason why AHL is a huge nono from me, it gives me the same anxiety and rage as the "hamburger jk" subject. AHL has so many triggering stuff, the members where in a really bad state when they recorded it (the problem with Hobi leaving the band), they treated them so badly that even Yoongi got mad and asked for some time so he could breath to calm himself down? Like, why, why would someone enjoy this?

agreed. there are SO many uncomfortable moments and people watching it for entertainment makes me feel super weird. gives me major toxic masculinity vibes as well. and as a black army, I find it troubling in a racial aspect as well. I feel like it paints the culture in a negative light and it's so dated. maybe that's how hip hop was in the 90s when people literally died over stupid stuff, but we shouldn't be spreading that same narrative now.

I watched it because I thought It would be really cool to see how they teached them about hip hop, the history and the art behind it but no, it wasn't like that. Personally, I think it should never be recommend to anyone, it doesn't talk about "their origins" as some would like to say, it doesn't teach them about black culture as it should...AHL is so wrong in so many ways, triggering and outdated. Maybe cringy is not the best way to describe it because I never cringed while watching it, only made me anxious and so angry an disappointed...maybe AHL is way too romanticized for it's own good, when I was a baby army I wish someone would have stopped me from watching it or warned me about the kidnapping "p r a n k".

It's a survival show where celebrities go to survive in the nature and it taught me so much about Jin. Anything is good by me to be honest, i just wanted to mention it

this whole thread! agreed, honestly. it’s so weird to me how people enjoy watching it and recommend it to others. it’s so difficult to watch and there’s no point in doing it. as you mentioned they were having a rough time personally throughout, the people there treated them so bad, the whole thing was set up to force them to do things they couldn’t refuse cause they were new to the industry and had to say yes no matter what, they themselves don’t like to watch it back and the whole kidnapping prank is awful to begin with. The whole thing is just painful and triggering to so many armys. I hope if they really want to watch they do it on their own time.

The only part of AHL that's problematic is how the boys are treated in the first couple episodes. But it gets passed that really quickly and the rest of the show is really good.

Only the first like two episodes are difficult to watch. There are little bits and pieces that aren't great but you can tell how much the boys enjoyed their time there at the end. They really enjoyed spending time with their mentors and had a lot of cool experiences. It's definitely worth the watch.

You should definitely watch Rookie King! Even before you watch AHL if you want to go in order. Rookie King shows their first dorm, their relationship with their company, and so much more! It's really good and a must-watch!

I think vlives would be great there's a lot you can choose from (namjoon's album reviews and comeback vlives and just other members vlives) also season's greetings which are a bit similar to the summer packages there's also bts gayo tracks which is similar to run but not that many episodes ((since i have seen ppl mention ahl- i personally would not rewatch even if u end up doing it bc of the stuff some ppl already mentioned and when it comes to rookie king if you end up watching it take into consideration that the eng subs are pretty bad.. and there is no source where you could get the correct and full eng subs so you will be missing out some stuff the boys are saying some ppl might not notice it but if you can speak korean you realize the subs aren't complete.. Anyway!!) I think it would be also great if you would do just two memories videos a week or run bts and not starting something new while you still have all these that you're not cought up with but do whatever works the best~ ps i love your reactions (^o^)丿

reading through the comments made me realise there are actually a few series that you haven't watched that you could incorporate into your Sunday spot one at a time. American hustle life is definitely one of them and all episodes are on YouTube. like a few people have said it is a little bit cringey but it shows how they were in the beginning and it was their first time to America and learning to live in the states for a few weeks and learn about hip hop from famous American hip-hop artists etc is all very interesting and will definitely give you a lot of laughs. Another series that you could do is BTS gayo which is like run BTS but it was filmed before run. I think there are about 15 episodes and all of those are on YouTube as well. There is also a series called rookie king and I believe those or on YouTube as well. that's another game show 1 similar to run and gayo but the punishments are well weird you will be in hysterics. And then on top of that there are all of the 'episodes' which are basically behind-the-scenes videos about all of the different award shows they've been to and music videos they have shot. They are all on the bangtan TV channel on YouTube but bangtantv only recently started adding English subtitles to their videos but there is a channel called bangtansubs which has all of the episodes with English subs. I really think that you would enjoy those. Some of them are so iconic like the behind-the-scenes of their first grammys and all the Korean award shows that they do it shows all the work they put into making them beforehand and during. Plus there are episodes of them at things like the AMAs or the billboard music awards and meeting Taylor swift and John legend and various other bits and bobs. Anyway this comment is really long now but I have been waiting for you to ask for recommendations for a while and I just think these few ones are good enough to make into a regular spot because there not just one off shows they are part of series that would fill your Sunday spot for quite a long time

Hii Familia! My two cents on what to watch next would be: 1. Let's Have Dinner Together (with Jin and JK) 2. Please Take Care of My Refrigerator (with Jin and Jimin) 3. Hello Counselor (with Jin and Jimin) - this is an amazing korean variety show in and of itself, it's really wholesome. But the members parts are very few so maybe it won't be that great for a reaction. Also I had this idea, I'm not sure if it's possible but maybe you guys can do a monthly thing with Patreon Familia where you pick a few people and we react to something all together on Zoom or something. I’m a run bts enthusiast 😅. Also, I actually watched few episodes of AHL but I skipped a lot of parts and it’s the first and only bangtan show I haven’t finished watching. I just watched some clips of the good parts in youtube. But it’s really up to you familia. Just in my opinion,there’s sooo many bangtan contents to watch than watching 2 episodes which equals to 2 weeks of content until it supposedly gets better or easier to watch. haha don’t know if I’m making sense. Anyway have a good day familia!

Have you guys watched the Armypedia full talk show they had? I know you watched the the singing parts on YouTube but the full on talk show part is really fun too.
