Wohoooooooooo 2 videosssss

YAY:)

Madison

we see the hat Marisol lol

Mikrocosmoni

"Got Namjoon right behind us when we say so" You know what, Joon said "we APPRECIATE your apology", not ACCEPT. James never actually apologized but Joon took the higher road, ended the awkwardness with his statement, gracefully cleared the air, and moved on from the situation😉

Michelle Colín

my opinion on james changed a lot after the coment and his attitute regarding army's rational concerns. not only he did not apologize but he also tried to brush it off as a "joke" despite that stereotype being based on the comments misogynyst men use to mock young women 's interests. that not counting his other comment (about it being "weird" that bts attended and performed at UNGA) felt very disrespectful towards the boys, considering they've attended this kind of places since 2018. however, the boys seem to not hold any grudge against him, and like joon said, they already cleared the air. i feel like there's many instances where the boys have let us see when the are not comfortable any more with an interviewer (example: ellen and jimmy kimmel, since they stopped attending their shows). if the boys want to keep going to corden's show for interviews/games/performances, then i respect their choice cause that's what i'm here for and nothing else. :) so glad that u posted twice!! also i'm very excited for u, are u flying to los borahangeles soon? hope u have a great time at the concert, familia! love u!!

jergens lotion

pls react to tae jimin and jk vlive!!!

Laysla Emanuele

I will let go of that question, but I will never trust again. I will support wherever the boys want to go and participate. but that's it

Laysla Emanuele

And I loved seeing how true and strong our relationship and connection to bts is. My heart is warm, I love them even more for it.

⁷ 💜

Yaay, thank you for another reaction!! This interview was something, I'll tell you 😂😅

deejebekosmos⁷

Yessss! Just gonna say Joon saying "we appreciate your apology" answers for us all cause he wasn't even apologising lol, he was trying to paint us as the bad guy and then backtracking to start praising us like okay... Him trying to brush it off as a "harmless joke", honestly if ne was an ARMY as he claimed to be (using it as an excuse), he wouldn't make that "joke" and since he did, he shoildvr definitely tried to apologise sincerely but he didn't even apologise, anyway, he's just there now

Yuditha Hardini

I watched the James interview before and I must say I did not appreciate the fact that he has to mention the death threats that he may or may not receive (I do not condone bullying or death threats of any sorts but there are thousands of army calling him out in respectful/joking manner including you guys trying to explain why his joke was not appropriate) but of course, he has to mention the 0.0000001% comment that might or might not exist (I said this because I have not seen one) to make light the sexist/ageism joke he made. He should have just apologized already. But as someone said, Joon took the higher road and I am following his lead. The boys are professional adults and I believe they know what to do. If I have to endure looking at James whenever the boys decide to perform on his show, I'll do it to support them 😁

Madison

i mean at the end of the day James is a talk show host, thats how the industry works people say ignorant things for attention, and we don't know what gets edited out or what is talked about behind the scenes. They look happy, thats the end of it

Amy Evans

I completely agree. I always found it annoying that public figures could avoid taking accountability for some of the stuff they do by sighting that they received death threats. They tend to ignore 99% of the discourse, educating them on why what they have said/done is inappropriate/harmful. Death threats are never acceptable, and there is room to address this, but during an apology is not it. It undermines the people they harm, and to me personally, it comes across more that they aren't sorry they did it but sorry they got caught.

⁷ 💜

If BTS doesn't hold a grudge I'll not either, but definitely will not forget... But anyways, at the end of the day is only BTS&Army anyways, so it doesn't really matter!! But Namjoon saying "are you alright?" With a accent 😳😳 Really, i love how they know their value so they "confronted" James but still in a lighthearted way, just to be ok, since James show is really big in the U.S. they'll most likely got back there more times anyway so to everything be ok with army too, it was not an apology but it was good enough!! P.s.: Namjoon saying "we APPRECIATE your apology" and not Accept have so much impact!!

CaroJK

If they came back to his show I assume it's because they still appreciate him so if our boys are happy there,I'm happy too

Chrissy

James never called BTS weird or said it was weird....and the other part WAS a joke actually. Sorry but it perturbs me when people embellish the truth to fit their narrative.

Dorrie

Hi Familia 💜 First : Namjoon is the best leader e-ver. This is what you call a big boss move 🔥 What James said was bad and completely false but the boys decided to come back on his show and I’m 100% they had a proper conversation about it before the interview since they spent the entire day filming. I was one of the army that made a respectul comment on Twitter to James to share my thoughts but hate, insults are definitely not ok. I don’t want army to have this image of people who send death threats whenever they feel hurt. I love BTS cause they able to understand that love and compassion are stronger. So let’s just move on, if BTS are happy I’m happy ☺️

Kathryn E Wilham

Rather than talking about BTS returning to the show, I want to address the main issue. I usually watch just the monologues of the late night shows for the political satire. I haven’t read a lot of the responses to the jokes that night, but I want to make the clear point about the belittling of teenage girls that is so much a part of white male culture in the USA. Young women are not mindless dolls who want to turn into some supposedly powerful man to see anyone, and comedians should use their satire on people with power. The Corden writers also didn’t do their research here, or they would have known that the demographics of the fan base is wide-ranging in age/gender/sexual orientation/race/ethnicity/etc. So this is a case of the facts not even working in this feeble attempt to make fun of young women? The joke about BTS talking/performing at the UN being unusual didn’t sound to me like making fun of the group’s work per se; it was simply an indicator that the show writers hadn’t bother to check on the history of BTS talking at the UN; again, just bad research. However, the general condescension toward young women (really all women) is something I’ve heard from the Corden writers before this incident and since. They are not harmless jokes. Note: I am a 73-year-old feminist woman Army.

Michelle Colín

ah yes, he didnt say "weird", my bad. he said "unusual". which is stil not true at all cause the boys have been attending UN related events for a while now. and im not sure what other part you're saying it was a joke, but even if it was, it was tasteless and disrespectful towards the boys and us. i'm not trying to "embellish" anything to fit any narrative, since we all saw how things went down lmao. and james didnt even apologize for doing deeply misogynystic comments, even if they were "jokes" so :/

Veronica

FYI, 12:17 Jimin said "I have nothing here / There's nothing here" in Korean(아무것도 없어) 🤣 But I still remember his biceps that I saw at the last online concert🤔 lol

Nadia

I agree with you. I don’t like the cancel culture. James really did wrong with his ‘jokes’ but BTS shows us perfect example on how to handle it. Like Namjoon said..they wanted to clean the air. We need to learn from them. So i hope no one tried to attack james by giving death threats. It is wrong and it will only makes people hate Army and BTS.

bembolbee

Is this the extended interview version already?

Veronica

Oh no... I accidentally deleted my comment 😥 I just wanted to say I 100% agree with you about people jumping right to conclusions. It was really painful to watch. And I hope people to be aware that the whole interview must have been discussed in advance. I will never know how far they discussed that part and which side(either BTS side or Corden side) brought up the idea first, but I found it really amazing that they figured out how to clean the air in such a cool way. And the way Namjoon delivered his words was so on point. There are reasons why we call him our president😊

Ophelia

The idea of 'all teen girls' didn't really upset me as much as this idea of teen girl being a negative thing does. I have no problem being compared to teen girls because why is that a negative thing? The idea of using teen girls and implying that their interests are 'dumb' or 'silly' or 'not important' is the real problem with his 'jokes'. Teenagers, especially girls, already deal with so much at that age, why is it a global joke that their interests are 'silly' and 'dumb' and 'non important'. It's so sad how people don't understand how this is a microagression towards women.

Ophelia

Yeah, I think the real issue with the 'joke' is that it makes fun of young girls. Why is it a negative thing to be seen as an interest of young girls? Whether it's true or not, it's sad that people use young girls as a way to imply that something is 'silly' or 'dumb' or just not important.

Chantelle

But the actual ones from vlive in order once subs are out not the YouTube ones

Nadhirah Rahim

ive watched this interview once and idk if i want to watch it again ahahaha. tbh i get it that he meant it as a joke or whatever he said. but in this interview, he keeps trying to say that ARMY are like aggressive human beings and keep trying to defend himself in front of BTS. did he expect BTS gonna feel pity towards him or something. maybe its just my toxic trait for thinking like that but this interview is so awkward and i dont like it lmao. he can just mentioned just a little part of it and apologize but he decided to defend himself an mention about the death threats(ofcourse its wrong too) but he makes the whole situation so awkward

Aina Kamitani

I agree with you. Also it makes army’s image bad, that’s why others think we’re toxic, they should stop the cancel culture and death threats.I mean i get it many army got hurt but do you really need to send death threats just because of some “joke”??thats too much

Charon's world

I understand the joke was in bad taste and some got really offended but what turned me off was the negative response some Army made. In the grand scale of things, this is nothing and BTS has always promoted being positive. Not all but some took it way too far. I mean he didn't say they sucked or didn't deserve their successnor anything like that. I feel like Army respresents BTS and vice versa. I saw a lot of comments that I would not have said.

Auclaire D'Lune

the fact that namjoon addressed the issue with james corden makes me feel seen and protected.

hannah

I have a super duper important and relevant question to this video - Marisol where did you get your sweater I am obsessed with it!!!

hannah

also to add my opinion on James, I am from the UK and can speak with a little bit of experience of having him over here for years before he moved over to America. He has completely changed from how he used to be, I see him now as very fake and unfunny. On the shows he did over here, his characters were genuinely loved because they were hilarious and he played them so well but I feel that either the money or fame has got to him and its not turned out well. I dont think he's a particularly bad person, but like a large majority of tv hosts, he was not 'worried' at the thought of hurting or upsetting army - he was worried about the thought of losing a business relationship between his show and BTS and the numbers and money that they potentially can bring into his show. Im glad Joon addressed it and 'appreciated' the apology and didn't quite accept it. Also not quite sure why he brought top death threats in front of the boys - they have no control unfortunately over what stupid people say on the internet so found it quite uncomfortable for him to do that. I don't hate the man but don't support him either!

EB

Like CourtneyMOARMY said in an earlier comment, the question from Joon was most likely agreed upon before the interview as a way to bring it up. Right after James talks with Jimin about still being Papa Mochi and dramatically weeping, you can hear Joon start to say something about how they have already been talking about this for “like 10 minutes”. Just my opinion, but I think the guys agreed to handle the situation that way, but I think Namjoon was kinda over it by the end and was ready to talk about the group and something else. Spending a third of the interview talking about how James effed up isn’t really a good use of their time. At this point I’m just “whatever” about the situation. I really didn’t like the comments and the way James handled valid criticism, but I’m ready for the issue to be put in the past. IMO, if James had just said “you know, you’re right, ARMY had some valid concerns about what I said, and I never meant to offend anyone. I’m a huge fan, and I apologize to BTS and ARMY” the whole conversation could have been 20 seconds and the extended dramatics could have been avoided. And I think ARMY would have responded better overall.

l

I have a hard time trusting the American industry when it comes to bts. I will always support their decisions but never force myself to “like” someone simply bc they were nice to bts, and the next thing you know they throw them under the bus or backstab them, it had happened way too often at this point

zenzen

imo it wasn‘t the best idea to mention the dt, but at the same time we know the boys don‘t look good upon dt/malicous comments so they know that those weren‘t real armys imo and now that bts clairified that this incident is over, i don‘t see why we have to continue w the hate comments or this whole incident.

Karla24.wintaebear

Nope. Still don't trust James after those photos of the cue cards for Jimin got posted online. It's scripted for the crosswalk thing.

lexie

haha i saw this too. they were basically forcing him to say he loved james and that seems off to me

Bambi

Yes! I'm from the UK too. I really don't like who he's become in America. Maybe it's just an occupational hazard with being a show host but he feels soooooo fake now! Before, he just seemed like a normal down to earth humble comedic actor.

Aiden Tomori

I completely agree with you.knowing that the cancel culture in the world is getting worse,i’d rather take the positive sides of things that’s happened.anyone can make a mistake, and i was greatly disappointed about what james had said as a joke.but it doesn’t justify the people sending death threats to someone who hasn’t done any major crimes and just said a very very bad joke. And as for them discussing the show before hand,i was thinking the same thing so that james can explain himself with the help of our boys.i think they won’t be on the show if they have grudge against him.i admire them for being matured about the situation.BTS message is for us to love ourselves and be the positivity in this world.to be the light not only for them but to each other.we should know the limits and never forget that we armys represent them so whatever we say or do reflects on them.it’s better to be nice and let karma do it’s job to those people that hurt our boys.

Bri⁷

I’m so glad RM addressed the topic and let James “clear the air” That’s our leader💜 I honestly don’t think James meant any harm by his comment. Yes. It hurt some army’s but I don’t think those were his intentions. He learned his lesson and BTS still seem close with him. Which is great in my opinion. He seems to care for them, and they clearly still care for him too. At the end of it all James is still a human. And for army’s to dehumanize him over a silly comment is embarrassing. People have done worse. I personally like to move on and support our boys while we can. The boys are happy and that’s all that matters.

Ammie Barawid

Hello familia, please react with the latest vlive of maknaeline. I haven't wqtch it yet but I think its gonna be fun watching together with you. Saw some clips though 🥰

Zuza

meh, in my opinion it wasn't that deep, he made "jokes", I rolled my eyes at them and that was it, not enough for "armys" to cancel him or threaten him honestly

Gianne

familiaaaaa have fun at the concert!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 make sure u go to the booths(gate entry 1,5,7, or 8) where they do the vaccine pre-verification so u can have your verification wristbands!! :). and go to the stadium early like maybe lunch time or after lunch bcs the lines are going to be long by like 4pm or 5pm🥲. there are food trucks outside the stadium too :)

PJ

The guys handled this with class, I wasn't expecting any less from them. As for James...meh.

Alison Wadsworth

I didn't get offended by his joke in the first place (and I'm 38). He's a comedian, it's his job to take the mick and make light hearted jokes. He didn't say all fans were 15 year old girls, just that 15 year old girls would have never wanted to be at the UN before, which is true, the joke wouldn't have landed if he'd said "women and men of all ages have never wanted to be at the UN before" I've seen him on that show making fun of their American politicians and other celebs/people/demographics but no one even threatened to kill him over those things did they. Add to that he's British, our humour is much more dry and blunt, everyone takes the piss out of each other here without taking things too seriously. If anything I actually thought it was risky of Namjoon to bring up the fact that a whole bunch of their fanbase are so bloody OTT crazy that they would send death threats and online hate to someone for making a joke. Not exactly in keeping with the BTS message. And I say this as a BTS fan of almost 5 years, I run a Facebook group, I've seen them at Wembley, I love them and their message but sometimes Army can be toxic beyond measure

Hannah

I 100% agree with everything you said. I think fans are way too overly sensitive and over protective.

Thaís Cardozo

I started to feel doubtful about James in the release of BE, and after that "joke" I got my confirmations. I really didn't like the way he treated a stereotype that that comes with so much deeper things behind it, including sexism (but I won't go into detail), as a simple joke, and yes he didn't even wanted to apologize for that. I also have my opinion about him talking specifically about the dt some toxic person sent to him online, but anyways I'm here for the boys, if they're good with him, I'm good with him, and I'm happy that the boys cleared that out on the show, and the performance at the end was just AMAZING!! borahae familia 💜

BeeLuv

I personally think that death threats are a bit extreme and definitely condemn that sort of behavior. Having said that I couldn't agree more with @Thais Cardozo that the statement by James Cordon was stereotypical and offensive and unfortunately its not the first time. There is a huge difference between a "JOKE" and a rude sexist comment.

DanielleM

I'll just share my feeling. First off, no one deserves to be send death threats or told to harm themselves, no one. And I don't know how the guys felt about the whole situation nor will I presume to know their feelings on this matter or any other. That said, I personally will never feel the same about James, I don't hate him and I won't cancel him or tell others how them should feel about him. I never really whated his show anyways, so it's not much different from before. I just don't see his interactions with the guys as honest anymore. As for the "jokes", I was disappointed in his screaming 15 year old "joke"(It was a stupid joke, especially because there are so many brilliant young people that are doing incredible things for the world right now), but what really bothered me was the "joke" about how BTS at the UN was "unusual"(BTS have been invited to give a speech to the UN 3 times now! And when James made his "joke", he did't even once mention that the guys not only performed there, but also gave a speech WITH the South Korean President) and I was bothered even more when James brushed that aside in this interview and instead focused on the 15 year old "joke"(which to me felt like he was trying to say, "see they really act like hysterical screaming girls, they even sent death threats to me". I'm not saying that's actually what James was doing, but it just feel weird to me).

DanielleM

Yes, at least I would have appreciated it if James would have said that.

Michelle

agreed, but i 100% think this was preplanned. theres no way nj would put him on blast like that on HIS show, its not the korean respectful way. totally think James asked him to do this to get the heat off him from army. tbh I'm annoyed armys made it get to this point cuz we just wasted such a long segment of the interview cleaning up this mess. and im sure the boys are getting annoyed of it as well. so now everytime army has beef with someone, nj is gonna need to clear the air with them publicly if they have a working relationship. whole thing was annoying and unnnessary. army needs to pick their battles.
