so glad you made it to ly: answer!! it has some of my favorite songs in their entire discography. 💕 trivia: love is one of them. namjoon's wordplay in the song is just insane and it's kind of difficult to grasp everything for non-koreans. i'll try to explain everything i know!! 1. in korean, "person/human" (사람)[saram] and "love" (사랑)[sarang] sound almost the same. the difference between both words is the last character ("ㅁ"[m] for person and "ㅇ"[ng] for love). the lyrics "i'm just a human, human, human/ you erode all my corners/and turn me into love, love, love" refers to what happens to the word "사람" if you erode the corners in "ㅁ" and turn it into "ㅇ". that's why "person/human" becomes "love" 2. the lyrics "you/we sit gently on it/ and it becomes a heart" refers to what happens if you were to sit gently on top of the character "ㅇ": the top part would dip to the center, turning the circle into "♡" 3. "it's a long way from I to U/fuck J-K-L-M-N-PQRST/I crossed all the letters and reached you" it's genius because which letters are between "I" and "U" in the alphabet? exactly! "JKLMNOPQRST". that's why it's a "long way" between those two letters. 4. namjoon also says "J-K-L-M-N" slowly and "PQRST" faster and separately because it's a reference to an electrocardiogram (ECG) in which the waves of a person's heart are labeled with those letters (P, Q, R, S and T). 5. "i learned thanks to you/why a person should live by loving." again, 사람 [saram]("person"), 사라 [sara]("live") and 사랑 [sarang]("love") sound all similar to each other. 6. "look, mine and yours also sound similar/though that doesn't make me you", the same kind of wordplay for person and love applies here as well. "mine/my" (내)[nae] and "yours" (네)[ne] are pronounced basically the same, but with a slight difference. 7. "wind, wind, wind that brushes by" can also be "wish, wish, wish that comes and goes" since wind (바람) could be the noun form of "to wish/to hope"(바라다). he also adds "i can only hope that you're not", meaning he hopes this other person is not only a wind that will blow by his life and then leave. 8. at the end he is rhyming words that sound very similar again so: person (사람)[saram], wind/wish (바람)[baram], blue (파랑)[parang], pride (차랑)[jarang] and last, but not least, love (사랑)[sarang). sorry for the long comment 😅 hope my explanation helped you understand some of the context better 🥰 sending much love your way and hope you have an amazing start of the week tomorrow! 💕 also my answer for QOTD: definitely has to be Outro: Her 💜

Courtney can do it with a broken heart

This is an illegal question my friends, I do really like Seesaw and the whole vibes of it though. The PS: No I'm not watching, I only watch if BTS/Taylor Swift is there, so... AND I'd rather watch you guys as it's probably already on, sorry BBMAs, Marisol and Uthman are more important rn. Edit: I also LOVE Ddaeng and the Cyphers, especially Cypher pt. 4, but also Tear, which pulls at the strings in my heart.

Carol 💜

Yaaay, let's goo!! To be honest, i even forgot BBMAs was today, since they aren't performing i forgot about it lol QOTD: It's so hard, really can't choose this one!!!

deejebekosmos⁷

Yessss. I swear I forgot about the BBMAs until I saw it earlier on Twitter lol! QOTD: ooh Lord 😭 from LY Answer, my fave rapline song is Trivia Love, I remember being obsessed with Seesaw and Just Dance 😭😭 they're all really good songs 😭💜 OKAY BUT MY FAVE RAPLINE SONG IS DDAENG😭💜🔥 can't wait to watch!!!

Carol 💜

Familia, i have a request for you, please stop reacting to Jaeguchi lyrics videos 🙏🏼🙏🏼 it's the most inaccurate lyrics video and the creator really don't care if they take views from them, they make lyrics videos even to their English songs (like mostly lyrics videos creators do but anyways) and I'm sorry for not saying it before but i didn't pay attention to this, so I'm saying now!! I would recommend Dial 6132, maybe

deejebekosmos⁷

Familia if you could (if you want to really), the members have I think two different versions of their performances for this album’s solos, for JK, he has one version where he didn’t use that flying thing and one where he does (which is the one you reacted to), Jin has one where he doesn’t play the piano and one he does, Tae has one where he starts standing with the mannequin and one where he’s lying and so on, please if you could react to all members’ different versions 💜

Chrissy

I just have to say my piece. I love the video but the lyric videos make it hard to watch sometimes and Suga's Seesaw lyric video was so bad it was painful. I seriously don't know how you understood most of it. Please use someplace else for lyrics like Doolset Bangtan or Genius. QOTD: Suga's Seesaw or JHope's Ego are my favorite solo tracks from the rap line of all time!💜

deejebekosmos⁷

Familia I believe the rapline songs in this album is talking about a relationship. Just dance is the beginning where he enjoys dancing with them, then Love is when he starts questioning the relationship, and then Seesaw is where they end it(?). Someone please correct me if I’m wrong 😭😭

Carol 💜

I believe they explain it in the comeback vlive but I'll briefly explain so you get it, you know the characters beside Trivia?? So, each song is a trivia of a chapter in the love yourself journey, Trivia: Love i think is from Her, Trivia: Seesaw is from Tear (obviously hehe) and Trivia: Just Dance is from Wonder, I'm not entirely sure but that's it each is part of this concepts, so you know Her is the beginning of Love and how it's sweet and seems perfect, and Just Dance is part of Wonder together with Euphoria, where you begin to wonder if this love is right and then comes Tear which you see that Love has this up and downs like Seesaw and there's this "dark side" of it and you get tired and end it to find the Answer that is "You can't love another person without loving yourself first"

Carol 💜
>>83947532

Actually Love would be part of Her, Seesaw of Tear obviously lol and Just Dance is part of Wonder together with Euphoria

Carol 💜

I will be honest what i love the most of this songs is the vocals!!! It's just so good, especially Just Dance, i live for the ad libs it's amazing!!! I'm with Marisol i love this more melodic songs of the rap line, but love the hard ones too that's why it's so hard to answer qotd 😅 but seriously, this songs are so beautiful!! I love how groovy and dance-y Just Dance is, love the wordplay in Love and love the whole performance of Seesaw because it's not everyday you see Yoongi dancing solo and blessing us with his vocals!!! Fun fact: the click in the beginning of Seesaw is from a record player i believe, but on the performance there's a door because the director thought it was the click of a door opening 😂😂

Carol

The last video cut at the best part lol, Yoongi went to sit on the "seesaw" and Taehyung was there looking at him wanting to be noticed and Yoongi was Yoongi and remained unbothered 😂 Also, the outfit of the second performance of Seesaw made such a commotion on Twitter and still to this day makes armys crazy!! But i mean, he was in a tank top with a see through sweater over it and his shoulder bare... It's a LOOK!!

Carol 💜
>>83947744

I'm really bad at explaining but it's just a brief explanation since they do it better on the comeback vlive, it just so you don't get confused and overthink about who the song is for 😂

SNBangtan

Just Dance is the stage that made me a j-hope bias. I went to Metlife Day 1 in head to toe Jimin gear and Hoseok hit the stage for Just Dance and snatched my soul from my body. People think we call him the Sun because he's bright and full of energy but it's really because he has his own gravity. He's so powerful on stage. I was screaming before I was even consciously aware of it and I didn't stop screaming til it was over. My fan cam is a mess--I sound inhuman. But he just pulled it out of me. He's had his boot on my throat ever since. Just Dance stole the whole concert. He's just a one-of-a-kind performer.

SNBangtan

Also, not to read you too much bc I love you guys, but you've been ARMYs for years now--you cannot be reacting to Jaeguchi lyric vids. haha. Like they're the worst. They didn't do an ounce of justice to the poetry in Just Dance (or any other video the creator has ever done). They try to get them up fast so their translations are really rushed and they don't incorporate any nuance or context. I can't give you a better recommendation--maybe Zati Farhani?--but maybe my fellow ARMYs can help out. I tend to stick to Doolset.

They posted before their plan with the links for advice and you didn’t say anything. Let’s not complain on the final post when you didn’t try to help when they asked for it.

Ophelia
>>83945895

They post before they film and ask for advice. Let’s try saying it then instead of waiting and just complaining on the final post. They gave you the opportunity before.

lucy
>>83950733

well ofc it'd have been the best if she commented on that post in advance, but just because you missed the timing doesn't mean you shouldn't give any other opinion on the future posts. i think it's always good to give feedback for a better direction as long as you're not being rude :)

Ophelia
>>83950733

This comment is rude. The whole "you've been ARMY long enough" idea is rude when it's used to try to correct people or insult them based on their choices. It could be said in a polite way, but insulting them personally in the process is rude.

lucy
>>83950733

yeah now i see that :/ still i think there's nothing wrong with giving your opinion at anytime, but it definitely should've done with more manners. english is not my first language so i wasn't sure about the meaning of that sentence (i took it as literally the time they've been ARMY). that was unnecessary.

Mayeen Hoque

Thanks for this video. I am recovering from surgery and been feeling quite down and idk why but these videos have been keeping me occupied. If only you watched hobi's day 2 performance..he was shocked at the volume at we were screaming his name in the bridge. it was sooo cool

SNBangtan
>>83950733

My comment was NOT rude and you are totally making inferences about my tone based on your own personal interpretation. I added "haha" to indicate good-natured ribbing and gave a positive qualification. I've been on this Patreon and a member of the familia since Uthman and Marisol started reacting. So you don't get to come for me bc you don't know how to give other humans the benefit of the doubt. You really need to take a step back and think about why you felt the need to read every word of my comment like it was malicious or unkind. I don't approach people in that way and you shouldn't either.

SNBangtan
>>83950733

And Lucy, don't let other people dictate how you feel about something. You read my comment and took it as it was intended and then you let someone else tell you it was mean. My comment was said in a totally harmless, good-natured way with the intent of giving them a suggestion that would improve their experience and ours. Because Ophelia decided to read my comment in a cartoonish evil-villain voice, she decided to perceive me as a jerk. That's on her. You should try to give yourself a little more credit and trust your own interpretation. Not every comment has some sort of malicious agenda attached to it and taking random ARMYs at their word when they're trying to call someone else a bad guy is not a good way to navigate this fandom.

advices are handful but I honestly it felt rude to me too. They asked for advice before, you missed the timing and decided to said it here (which is fine) but I think then you should have worded differently like "I should have said it before but could you react to this instead?, the translations are better in this video, etc," but the way you said it sounds like you are mocking them. Pls take this reply as a constructive cristicism, cause wording really matters online

lucy
>>83950733

yes i always tend to leave open the possibility that my interpretation could be wrong, but it's just bc literally my english is not perfect as i said. it's nothing like i'm not sure about my own perception/feeling and trust other's more. i believe in my own judgment the most. i changed my opinion bc i carefully read your comment again and actually felt that way, not simply bc of other's comment. now that you said you didn't mean it, i sincerely apologize for misunderstanding your comment, but honestly it does sound like kinda sarcastic like some ppl felt including me. i think it would be nice to write in more cautious way when giving advice (especially when you're late) :)

💤

omgggg the sowozoo dvd is finally out so i hope we get good links to them soon. also i would love it if u guys just got straight into the making films cuz it’s has lots of cute moments and behind the scenes instead of rewatching the concert T_T

Ophelia
>>83950733

Nothing about my comment was "malicious or unkind." Once again, there are polite ways to give critique without it being personal. You adding on "you've been army long enough" or whatever is a personal insult, not a critique.

Lainee Fenton

Are the QOTD getting harder as we progress familia 😂 cause they feel harder these days. I can't pick!!!! 😂😂😂 I had to check my Spotify to see what my last played rap line song was and it was Cypher Part 2, so let's go with that.

Lainee Fenton

In regards to the reaction 🔥 I thoroughly enjoyed going back to these stages again. Was an absolute joy to re-watch! I quickly have to say, the cadence on the Rapline is unmatched and that applies to each of them. Starting with Hobi, this man's stage presence is insane. When you mentioned his control, I strongly agree! He has so much power as soon as he holds a mic! One day, I hope to ask an army that sat front row when those canons went off... what's it like???? Now for Joonie, the fact that Namjoon doesn't "dance" in his live stage but is still able to give a captivating performance is a credit to his MC ability and again another member with full control on stage. It must be really daunting to go solo and I would have been terrified in his position but Namjoon is so calm and collected, I'm in awe every time I see him. Last but not least Yoongi, i always giggle a little when I see Yoongi with choreography, not because he's funny (he definitely ain't) but the lie he was told that he wouldn't be dancing back in the days always plays in my head. Poor dude, was told he just had to do a two-step not a whole a** performance and then fast forward a few years, we get Seesaw live 😂 yoongi is one hell of a performer, same as the others, total control on stage. He draws the audience in with his demeanor for this song and gives it his all every time. Overall, as individuals they are very talented and can certainly hold their own, however as a trio... As a TRIO, it's over fam, like pack it up, I mean this as politely as I can but others don't really stand a chance 😂

I said you read MY comment as if every word were malicious or unkind. Once again, you are projecting things onto my comments that simply aren't there. The good news is, most people apparently were able to read my original comment in the intended tone. They saw the "haha" and the rest of the conversational comment and were able to tell it was good-natured ribbing with the goal of trying to communally think of a better suggestion. I guess you can keep believing everyone should have the same sense of humor as you and everyone else is mean, and I'll keep enjoying Marisol & Uthman's content in peace.

Tushti Kapoor

trivia love is one of my all time favourite songs, namjoon is just so so so sooooo amazing ugh

Monisita

I still remember that yoongi fancam that went viral on twitter djdnxhwb
